I have a cousin who has a stage 4 cancer, he been admitted on the hospital many
times but the doctor inform the family that he can only live 6 months from now.
Our family decided not to let him know. I cannot look at him when he's in pain,
he's taking many medicines in a day and expect he'll be fine someday.
Is it right not to let him know about his situation? i feel bad about him but i
can't do something..its hard.

Hi Garneta, I think, it's his right to know his current situation. First and foremost he is the key person responsible for his body. As what you've mentioned, he is in too much pain, but that will add to the pain if you will keep that as a secret from him. Pray first that he may be able to accept it. Don't give him false information about his condition, the more he will know it the better he will understand and accept the situation. What you can do as a famuily is to give all the care, understanding and support to him. Make him feel that no matter what happen, you will stay together and let him know that God is always there to comfort him.

..hi.. I think your cousin has all the right to know what he's undergoing right now.. he may feel hurt but that's the only way you can enlighten him of his illness.. although there is an advantage of keeping his illness a secret because he's not losing hope.. however, I personally think that he needs to know his situation so that he will know how to spend his time left here on earth and prepare himself to what is coming..
