i was seven when the last time i saw his smile, the last time i drink the milk he prepared for me, the last time he carried me unto his broad shoulders, the last time he let me ride on top of a carabao, and the last time i have not felt his breathe.
everytime i see a child or children with their father, i felt a little jealous and sad, i always longed and wish to be with my father again. i felt jealous because, 17 years ago i had a father with me, who's so caring and so loving. i miss the way he took cared of me when i was little, the way he prepared my food to eat and how he treats me, my mom and my siblings. i really miss him so much, if only i would be given a chance to tell him how much i love and misses him and be with him for a day, i would be the happiest person in the world.
that's why for those who still have their father with them, love them and respect them. :) anyone here at my lot who also misses their father?

Hi sis
I feel for you.. If only for one more day that we can see, feel and touch that one person so dear to us....
Just hold on tight, in God's time we will all be reunited....
"If I could have one final walk, another dance with him..
I'd play a song that will never ever end..
how I love, love, love to dance with my father again.."

Yes, I do miss my father. However, I had the pleasure of his company for 60 years. He passed away at age 89 three year ago this November. I still find it hard to believe he is gone. :-(

That's a beautiful memory to cherish. It may not be easy sometimes but life has to go on. Remembering a special person long gone like our dads don't have to be in sadness or glum as much they would love us to continue this life in happiness and health.
That's what I feel about my late grandma and dad too. I'm glad I'd always respected them when they were alive because I loved them so much.

Yes, when they lose people we love is something that is hard for us to pass even though it happened a very long time. However, one day we will come back remember it and will feel a profound longing to him. However, life must go on. Without having to forget the people who have left us, we still have to remember it and still maintain a sense of our love to the person who first left us. Although I have never felt the loss of a father, but I never lost a best friend who is very close to me. And at certain times I often feel the longing to it.

It's really sad losing someone that we love especially our parents. No one will be able to replace them. The love and care that they give us, we won't be able to find or feel those even from our most caring and closest relatives. That's why losing them would make us miss them forever.
The only advise i can give you though is that cherish those memories you have from your father. You don't have to forget them just to forget the sadness you are feeling when you miss him. Instead, be happy that you are still able to remember how it feels when he was still there letting you feel all his love and care. Whenever you miss him, just think of the good memories that you had with him. He might not be there with you anymore, but you know and feel his love stays at your heart and mind as long as you remember and continue to love him. -)
