Do Our Knowledge Came From God or Came From Satan?

Do you believe that our knowledge came from Satan? It was stated that the snake in the bible was the one who tempted Eve to eat the apple in the tree of knowledge, but Christian said that our knowledge was not came from Satan. They said that God gave knowledge to each of us. I hear them say "Let us thank God for giving us the knowledge," How could they say that God is the one who gave knowledge to each of us if Satan was the one who tempted Eve to eat the apple to gain knowledge from the forbidden tree? Satan was the one who tempted Eve to gain knowledge so, for what I conclude that Satan was the one who gave knowledge to each of us, but still Christians are still insisting that knowledge came from God.

As I have learnt from my studies of Bible many parts of the Old Testament can't be taken literally. That is, Genesis is a correlation to spiritual events rather than a historical description. For example: what you name an "apple" in the original texts was named a "fruit". And the word "fruit" includes abstract correlations such as "knowledge" or "results" of "effects". Bible is full of such texts which carry the truth in a hidden way. I was in doubts like you for most of my lifetime. But finally I have found peace when I discovered a modern message of Jesus, given by the inner word to the Austrian musician Jakob Lorber in the middle of the 19th century. It is named the "New Revelation" and particularly in the "Great Gospel of John" the Lord is disclosing many of these correlations to us. Meanwhile English translations are available for free on internet. From these texts the answer to your question is clear: Knowledge came from God. And it is given to us only in such quantities as we need to have and as we can stand.

God is our creator, I believe that God gave KNOWLEDGE (as one of his gifts) to each of us.

The of Tree of Knowledge of good and evil or the Tree of Conscience was created by God also, which God forbade eating the fruit from that Tree of Knowledge to Adam even Eve was not yet been created (Genesis 2:9-17). Therefor our Knowledge also came from God.

When Christians say knowledge is from G♥d, they mean His knowledge. The knowledge from satan was the knowledge of knowing the difference between good and evil. This is why immediately after they sinned, they saw they were naked. Though the body itself is not evil, the realization that they needed clothes was the evil knowledge they perceived.

When God created man, of course, knowledge was came from God. But when the first temptation came, and that was Eve, then Adam, man became God's adversary. Adam and Eve now gain a knowledge to know what is good and what is evil, and that is a knowledge of flesh, in fact they suddenly know that they were naked at that time. Because God love his people and does not want them to be miserable, he sent prophets to bring back people from evil to God. God want his people to turn at his reproof (Proverbs 1:23) for them to obtain the knowledge that coming from God, as it said God wil pour out his spirit unto them. With the same manner to Christianity era, in our time, whom Jesus is our great pastor, we must be baptized in the name of The Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost (Matthew 28:19)for us to obtain God's forgiveness, and once we are forgiven, God will pour out his spirit unto us, and he will make his words known to us, and that is knowledge. To know that you have knowledge from God, when you are a God-fearing, Proverb 1:7 it says " the fear of the lord is the beginning of knowledge" Hope you got my point my friend, it's a long explanation so I make it short.

Cmon. How can you argue like that. Who do you even think gave life and knowledge to the satan you are talking about? Please dont be like satan who mocked God,What happened when he did? He was thrown down away from the presence of God the father . If eve didnt have knowledge she wont have reasoned to eat the fruit ok. by the way whats your definition of knowledge?

My definition of knowledge is between knowing good and evil. Good is for God. Evil is for Satan. Sometimes, it made me confuse like do we have to thank Satan for he is the one who tempted Eve? --because without his temptation, we didn't know that God is good and Satan is evil or we thank God because God allowed Satan to tempt Adam and Eve so as to gain knowledge? --or we just thank God without any reason at all, we just knew that God is perfect and the creator even if Satan is the first who tempt Eve-- in order for all of us to gain knowledge? Ha ha ha ha... He he he... Anyway, I think it is better for me to be quiet... Hi hi hi (^_^)

Speaking realistically, all our knowledge come from Nature - in the process of environmental situations as well as our needs and desire to lead a better life day to day. In my view, knowledge is the truth form of human thoughts and observations - wisdom is the truth form of human experiences - experiencial knowledge is the real source of human wisdom! And all these factors are not the phenomena of any religion or God or Godmen! So, I must say that a particular knowledge may carry Godly blessings for us in a proper application - and the same knowledge may carry Satanic disasters for us if applied in the reverse way! Application of knowledge is more important than simply knowledge itself and without proper application or in the hands of wickeds, a knowledge may bring disaster to humans! So in no way God is to be blamed or praised for knowledge and its vast applications for construction or destrucion of humanity! If some people still say / claim that knowledge come from God, knowledge will never stop to come to us and all humans from the vast Nature all around us!! Thanks for this philosophical topic and have real wisdom!!

Dear friend, It is known that God created all of us, there was knowledge withing us. Moreover the knowledge that God gave have also the option of doing it with positive side and negative side. I feel if we tend to use it for negative side we are accepting the Satan, if on positive we do side with God.

The snake tempted Eve (who also gave to Adam) to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, not the tree of knowledge. Before man ate of the forbidden fruit, he was innocent and could not be faulted when missing the mark; but when he ate of the forbidden fruit, his eyes were opened and he saw what was good and what was evil and no longer had an excuse when he did wrong. As a result of Satan's temptation of man, we now have murder, lying, cheating, wars, hate, swindling, stealing, scamming, you name anything bad and that's a result of the original temptation of Satan.

One must remember these are mere stories. Stories don't always add up. They just try to make you feel.

You see no one can interpret the origin of knowledge basing on genesis. There are so many allegories.Even if it is considered that knowledge came from satan, where did the satan get the knowledge ? And the tradition says that God created the Angels but Lucifer rebelled. Where is the origin of satan? Originally Knowledge must have been pure and objective. In the case of satan, Lucifer, Adam and Eve the self ego prevailed the "I" and then befell all the consequences of "I". St.Paul said "It is not I but Christ who lives in me" When man advances towards holiness he advances towards God and the "I" fades away. God alone and all in God alone prevail

After creating Adam, God taught him first, then he let adam to faced with angels. In that test Adam became winner. In that sense you can say that knowledge has come from God. So, Christian's view is all right. On the other-hand in the earth we are gathering both knowledge. One is from God and that is always good. Another one is bad and that is coming from satan.

It's nice to respond when it comes to heavenly connected question... I just wanna say that if such knowledge is GOOD( no malis thinking ) then it's a GOD source knowledge.. but If its thinking were always for the flesh satisfaction then it's of satan...(he was thrown out away from heaven for GOD knows what fills its heart) If your heart by this time was full of earthly things( doesn't glorify GOD ) it's satan's knowledge,,

I believe faithfully that all good things came from God. Knowledge came from God. God gave us a free will to choose between bad and good. So if the knowledge you take is bad, definitely it is Satan you are following. But if it is good, then, you are following God. We have that inherited sin because of what happened to the garden. But God is so gracious that everyday, until now, His mercy keeps on falling...to the extent that we are still given a chance to know Him through the proper knowledge of the Bible.

That is a really good question because if satan didn't exist then eve would of not eaten the fruit of knowledge and we would all be living in the Garden of Eden with Dinosaurs (Don't ask me its a joke) So I think you could give credit to one or the other depending on your preference personally I see the Bible as more of a great work of Art and has good life lessons for the most part in it and well all things created by man fall short of god so the Bible is no exception. I think that it is a great story on how good and evil have always existed here you have God representing the powers of Good and Satan the powers of Evil. The tree of Knowledge was created for god and god put the curiosity in our nature so he/she most of known a head of time since nothing surprises god that Eve took from the tree that is why I could never follow the Bible because he seemed shocked when something happened like he didn't pay much attention with Cane and Abel.
