How to know if PTC sites is legit or scam?

I've been to PTC sites to earn extra money for almost a year. But now, I would like to be an active member of each sites that I joined. I just noticed most sites that I joined was a scam and some were closed. Too bad that I wasted my time to them.
How would you know if PTC sites is legit or a scam before you join?

just see the money they are paying....its very illogical that 1 company will pay $2 or more just to view a add...so get away from those who pay a lot.

First you must check on internet see what people write about sites.
check those site have forum if not it is probable scam sites. On the forum you should check payment proofs , but remember too check couple times does somebody post new proof. Because some sites pay on the beginning and after stop.
I'm trying not paying my money to sites before they don't pay me first some money.
