In 2010, it seems many movies shot using 3D camera which gives us more realistic cinematic experience when wearing the 3D glasses. have you ever try 4D cinema? I try it several times in the amusement park. The vibrating seat, sometimes there's wind and water sprayed to us and it's absolutely a thrilling experience! Do you feel after 3D worn out, 4D will stepping up the game? It might be expensive to install all those technology needed for 4D, but it's all possible isn't it? What do you think?

Busch Gardens has 4D movie shows. I love them. You get sprayed with mist, wind, and the seats move. I wish there were other places to see this kind of movie.

The problem is it's still very expensive to install all those equipments for 4D, and I think not all movies can be compatible for 4D viewing. But I think as time progressed the cost will be cheaper and I hope we'll get additicnal 4D cinemas nearby. I doubt it will happen ten years from now, seeing that 3D phenomenon just started last year, but maybe in 2020 we could see this happening :)

you are right. they would want everyone to spend money on 3D sets before they release the next new thing that we cannot live without. lol.

Yes it is interrsting that this 3D tech has come out and made movies an interesting experence. I have seen a few 3D movies myself this passed year. I have expereced 4D in the amusement parks like Disney world. it had the spraying of water and vivbration of seats ect. I not sure if they can do 4D in the home, it will probley have to say in the theathers. However 3D has now become aviible in the homes with a 3D tv set with its own set of glasses. how well that will do I am not sure as of yet.

Yes I think your are right. I have seen 3D tv in the department stores in the mall last year. it looked good but you still need the glasses to see the 3D effect.

Nah, I think it's too difficult if this technology applied at home. It must be very expensive to setup high tech equipment in our own house, yet even I don't think I have such a big space to setup a home cinema in my house. I saw the 3D TV and I must say I'm not impressed by it. In my opinion 3D has to be watched in huge screen, viewing it in such small screen is not giving me the same experience

yes youless, you perfectly told us how riveting this experience is. It's certainly very incteresting if they can make mass 4D cinemas in the future. Thanks for the response

Well 3D is still to establish itself as there are many who believe that it is still a gimmick that studios incorporate in to movies just to generate more interest rather than use it to expand the storyline. But I am sure at some point in the future once the technology improves some more and studios stop treating it like a gimmick it will establish itself.
But I cannot see in my wildest dreams 4D ever catching on because the over haul to make mass movie watching a 4D experience would be prohibitively expensive. It will remain a side show in the amusement parks where it can be used on limited audiences. Can you imagine how they would give the effect of a wave crashing over you in a big movie theatre, it just couldn't be done without major problems.

3D also became a gimmick because of studios who wants to generate more cash flow to their pocket since they charge more for 3D. Movies like Clash of The Titans or Airbender for example, many people complained the 3D is not good at all, since they actually filmed with 2D camera and just being decided to show in 3D near their release date. Yeah, it may cause a problem if they install 4D in the regular cinema, but who knows in the future it might be possible :)

Well, it's located at Indonesia, my country. I think you should checkout big amusement park in your country, usually they have one. Hahaha no, I don't think anyone will get injured from watching it since it's only vibrated seat and water or wind. The last time I watched Journey to The Centre of the Earth and although the admission cost is quite expensive, it's worthed.
