How can I drive away mites?

Hi all, I have been suffering from this problem from the past two days. I don't know how to drive away mites from my house. we have a pigeon who kept its nest in the ventilator which is in the kitchen room, the nest is not facing the kitchen, but it is outside facing the road. But then, as you all know ventilators have holes and due to that there are a lot of mites entering our kitchen and are on almost every bottle in the kitchen now. they are just even spreading on my body too and causing severe itching sensation. This pigeon has laid eggs and they have hatched just two days back, ever since then I have this problem with mites. I am not understanding as to how to solve this. I just got some spray and have removed all the bottles and vessels from the kitchen and cleaned everything, but even then they seem not to go away completely. am not interested to remove the nest completely because I am scared of the little baby pigeons. Please suggest me some thing about this friends. thanks ...
