Homeless go without eating... Elderly going without needed medicines...Mentally ill without treatment...Troops without proper equipment. Yet we donate billions to other countries before helping our own first!!! WAKE UP AMERICA!Just kinda interested in what others think? The government needs to listen to US for a change? Nothing the matter with this country aside from the people at the wheel, driving it into the ground. It's still arguably the greatest country in the world, but won't be for long at the rate we're going. Julie's right - and it's good to be generous and giving - but damn, to what extreme? America needs to get back on a stable, sensible path again before it's too late!

The Uk are also helping other countries, yet our country is going to pot and they are having to cut back on all the spending, aswell as increasing prices on things aswell.I feel like our country should sort us out before they help other places and other people,at this rate it will be the tax payers that will also get stung for more money. If our counrty has no money and we are still in the recession, then where are they finding all the money to send to other countrys.

I agree jugsjugs each country needs to take care of there own people and strengthen it then help others if needed. I know we have to do so much with the fair trade and all that but the way it is going right now noone is going to end up with anything. Just like this war what a waste and terriorists are still getting in and causing trouble when do we just say enough is enough

I agree 100 percent. I hope for the best but it doesn't look good. America needs to rethink every dollar that they spend especially is its not on themselves. Why we give soo much money away when we literally broke ourselves, actually in debt.... alot... I have no f'n clue errr... now im irritated

I agree America does need to watch every dollar that they spend and why and where it is going. Seems like the most important things always get put on the back burner which is just cause more and more taxes and small business;s closing it is sad.

The Government needs to concentrate more on rebuilding and strengthening its own economic base if it is to maintain its global leadership in future. It needs to urgently address to the needs and priorities of American people in the light of the rising unemployment and underemployment. The need of the hour is enhance the competitive strength and performance of its industrial, commercial and financial institutions. The Government needs to bring massive turn around of its economic system through continuous reform and innovation.

Yeah, as much as its nice to help others, there are just times where we have to worry about problems closer than home. The world falling around us is horrific to say the very least. We see people in need and want to help. Yet, by helping those overseas, we are going to unfortunately neglect those at home. It might sound heartless, but there comes a time where the United States has to just step back and let other countries around the world, sink or swim. I do think that its noble that we want to help. However, the nobility really is misplaced when we are having problems at home. Thus we are weakened by the day. We need to step back, long enough to help ourselves. Otherwise, there will come a time where we are pretty much in ruins and not able to help anyone. Another point is, how many of these countries would actually help us if the situation was bad for us? I'm almost afraid to even ponder the answer of this question. This country is not perfect, and no country is but still, we tend to worry about others too much.
