I am not sure about that a quote can change lives or can even change thinking of a personality. But I love to read and follow quotes of eminent people. For example, the quote "Life is a tragedy when seen in close-up, but a comedy in long-shot" by Charlie Chaplin is one of my favorite quotes. Do you read quotes? Can a single quote change our thinking or lifestyle? Please let me know which are your favorite quotes. Thanks a lot... Happy Mylotting

I don't have 1 favorite quote but I do have few that I like. "A man who won't die for something isn't fit to live!" by Martin Luther King Jr. is one of them. And I'm not sure who said it but "You can easily judge the chracter of a man by how he treats those who obviously can do NOTHING for him." is another one I like. Then there is a quote from a movie called "Abyss". It goes something like, "This is insane..... Here, hold this...!!!"

I also like to read and follows quotes. Actually there is a quote that have changed my way of thinking. In my mother tongue it sounds like this: "Mai bine e cel mai mare dusman al binelui" I'll try to translate. It says something like "better is the worse enemy of good". When I have something to do, I always wonder where is the limit between good and better. Because I've seen from my experience that this quote bears so much truth inside!

There are times in our lives when we are at crossroads. Or, we are very sad, or depressed by some negative things happening in our lives. At such times, these quotes do inspire us to think and even make us feel motivated. However, how long these quotes keep us motivated depends a lot and varies a lot from individual to individual.
This is what I think. As for myself, these quotes just have a temporary effect.
