Poverty is having not enough money to meet the basic needs of life. It is very common in third world countries. How to escape poverty? What one should do to be able to uplift one's lives? Education combined with perseverance I think is the key...Government support and programs should be given. Corruption should be stopped! Unity and cooperation to make lives better...What else can you suggest?

Poverty is the common enemy of the government. Whatever their effort to fight poverty it is still exist and increasingly. We can't eliminate poverty but we lessen it through good position of the government about their program and corruption must be out of context to implement smoothly the program of the government... Because if there is still corruption. whatever efforts to lessen poverty I don't think it will be success. Even if the program is good and systems is great... Corruption is the only source of poverty. Because all services and program of the government that must be deliver to the public will not implementable because of no fund...no money to use for the project that public being the one who benefited... So there is no way out of poverty unless the corruption is lessen also. We need to lessen corruption first before dealing with poverty... Have a nice day!

I think everybody should act to stop poverty.. Government officials should stop corruptions. Individuals should cooperate with the government programs. As the saying goes "It takes two to tango".. Both should act, citizens should do their part, Government should do theirs too... Discipline with one's own self should be observed... Everybody should act to fight poverty. HAPPY MYLOTTING!

In Western countries the government gives financial help to the poor people. They could have housing benefit if they don't have anywhere to live in their own house in my home country. An unemployed person could get income support of a job seekers allowance. Education is free from age 3 to age 18. Typically a child can go to nursery school at age 3 to 4, then primary school from age 4 to 11 and then to secondary school from age 11 to 16. He or she could leave school at 16 years old or carry on studying at a further education college. In a developing country corruption should be stopped. Children working when they should be at school should be stopped. The government should tax goods and let working people pay 30% of their earnings in tax. Then the government should give food vouchers to the poor people and give them cheap housing to live in. Education should be free. Education would help people to make a bright future for themselves. I think that people should be able to move to a different country. Say if 5,000 Dutch people go out to live in Malawi they could teach the government how to give food vouchers to the poor and give housing for the poor to live in. They could make their education system better if they send some of their teachers. Some people in India should be sent to universities in the USA. They would come home with wonderful business ideas. Singapore is a country were corruption wouldn't be tolerated.

Our country is struggling so they keep saying on the news, yet it is our country that keeps sending loads of money to other countries, which to me do not make any sense.I think that if individual people are having money problems then they should consider what they do not need anymore and sell those things, things that they do not need to buy then they should stop buying them.People should find lots of ways to earn money aswell.
