My Freelancing Experience - Everything has an end, to start for a new beginning

On July 1st of this year, I started wondering about working at home. Everyday in the
office, I always do a research of what I can do to make this happen. I learned about how to withdraw your money through your local bank, learned about RRS Feeds, making money through your blogs, Adsense and all. I've also been through PTCs, GPTs, and stuff like Tone-a-day. It was fun, till I realized that time is really precious that earning a few cents per day won't even count.
I tried searching for more other options. There, I found FREELANCING. I was thrilled to know that in this kind of work, you choose your job, your clients, your time and you state your cost. I'm an artist myself so I channeled my skill to GRAPHIC Designing.
August 1, 2010, I bought my Own Desktop PC. Having the eagerness to start working at home, I bought the PC with a smiling heart! After my shift from the office, I spent a few hours building my profile and designing a few logos, t-shirts, banners and Brochures. Then, I placed bids for projects. My bid have been declined 50 times before I got the first client who was willing to pay $30 for a simple Logo. That was about the middle of the month. I was really happy at that time. My client was so happy with my work as well. I can never tell how joyful I was during the time I saw the message saying. "Your Bid Won!". Most specially, the part where it said, "you have been credited $30 for the project". I got my first feedback. A FIVE Star Feedback!
I continued doing that everyday, till I reached $200 - that was last week. In three weeks after I got my first bid, I've earned that amount by working for just a few hours per day. So I asked myself, "What more can I have if I will work full time?". By the way, I'm earning 16,000 Php($355) a month from a BPO company I work for. I had a good experience(I got promoted 6 months ago) working with professional individuals there. It has been a stressful environment though. Your boss would always expect something beyond your limits to challenge you. It was a learn-some experience.
ART is my LIFE. Creating Designs and Employing myself at the same time isn't work anymore. It's more of being my way of life. I feel like being me. Living to work and Working to live - I LOVE WHAT I DO and that's what matters the most. My freelancing experience have been so good as it opens a larger scope of development. You'll never know, a project worth $300 is sitting anywhere out there waiting for you.
I took my money from the "Freelancing Sites" I joined and anytime this week, I should see that from my bank account. Another important milestone of my experience - my first withdrawal. A new horizon is what I am looking right now. A new perspective to view, a new life to start, a new routine to deal with daily. Wanna Ask me why?
I resigned from work today.

that's a WOW!
i am also into freelancing. although for my jobs, i use my writing skills. I started my first pay at $2 per article and I was writing about 2-4 a day. Of course, I enjoy writing and to have $2-$8 a day from something you enjoy doing is not so bad.
anyway, i still am keeping my office job. but the thought of giving my writing a focus occurred to me so many times already. I couldn't help but smile when I read your post.

Well, weigh things out and find it out within yourself. I hope this thread never made you decide to resign also =). Keep it going! Just love what you do and your deeds will reward you.
