If he does not like noise then why does he make noise himself?

The guy downstairs is so crazy as he can be! He goes insane when he hears any noise that disturbs him. But he does not really understand that he is making noise himself. When he hits his ceiling the noise radiates in his apartment, our apartment and any other apartment that may be close, within his apartment too. So if he does not want to hear any noise, then he needs to stop making excessive noise himself. Hitting his ceiling is not making anything any better at all. In fact, it only makes matters more worse if you ask me. I feel that he should stop beating the crap out of his ceiling. And he should stop wasting his time knocking on my door, because I am never going to answer it. It is no telling what this lunatic has up his sleeves!

ok, well we all have some loony tunes around :)) i had also similar experiences when i was living with my mother there were people who constantly moved around their furniture every single night at 3-4 am. i moved 3 years ago, but they still do this. never helped talking to them, but it is worth trying to speak to your neighbor about this issues. may turn out that he thinks you are the one who makes noise but it is someone else?

I don't think he realizes he makes any noise. And he probably doesn't care if he did know. I would hate to be his ceiling. LOL And there is no telling what this guy has up his sleeve. I will be glad to hear you are all moved and in your new place and he has no way of knowing where you are. Then he is out of your life forever. I hope you are planning on being very sneaky as you move out of there.

It seems he is selfish and only cares about himself. I've too have known a lot of people like that.

I used to live in an apartment where people used to bang the ceiling. It is quite annoying, when you have children you can't possibly keep them from making noise all of the time. I would suggest though that if you get a chance to move, that having a basement apartment will hopefully solve the problem with cranky, noisy neighbors.

You need a basketball so you can practice your dribbling for hours on end way late in the night.

Sometimes people only knows what will benefit them. They tend to ignore what will be good for everybody. I agree with one of the responses, the best way is to talk to him. If it wouldn't change anything, well, atleast someone has tried. And if he would continue making noise, then, who the hell is he to tell people to stop making such.

Hi creame, it's really awful to have such selfish people to live in the same building. It didn't occur to me there is still having and adult guy lacking of the should to have culture when geting with others living in the same apartment. I do come across people with such selfish behavior as well. They just attach importance to themselves only and never realized that others would feeling uncomfortable and easy if facing the same undesirable situation like the disgusting noise heard every now and then made from the man mentioned. I couldn't tolerate if such awful noise disturbs my peaceful life often. I would get other residents affected to see the guy and make appropriate agreement to settle the problem. If there is totally no measure to get the problem resolved we then would seek assistance from the authorities concerned Happy posting

hi cream I will never forget what my son said about our neighbor from hell who also pounded the c eiling. He said he wished that with all those showers of asbestos falling down on her she could pick up c ancer from it and it would serve her right.I hope something or someone stops this looney tunes neighbor of yours.Perhaps he will tee off the wrong tenant there and he will end up with being kicked out instead. What I just do not understand how he thinks a family with children can be mouse quiet as its just not possible. they are humans and kids are kids all make some noise too. why on earth does the idiot just ask to move to a different apartment and quit harrassing you.
