I want to buy a domain how much it cost?

Hello everyone!I am planning to buy a domain to get serious in blogging and other online business activities. But I am not sure how much it really cost, the total package, after buying a domain are there any obligations I will still going to pay? What is the process of buying domain?
Anybody experienced this kind of transaction? I joined a blogging community here in our place and the group is planning to make this passion a career so I need a personal domain to make my site more credible. Thanks for sharing!

A domain name is not so expensive, you can get them for pretty cheap if you can be flexible and do not want a name someone already owns. But you also need to keep in mind that you will need to pay for hosting. So I would suggest that you get both the domain name and the hosting from the same place, that usually makes it a bit cheaper. GoDaddy that was already mentioned is good!
