Well for starters I would not be quite upset, but I would kindly tell the cashier that I received the wrong order. I suppose it depends on her response as there is a big difference between burgers and chicken. But if I want my order handled smoothly the next time around after m complaining I would certainly ask nicely.

If a second time it was wrong then there would be no complete rudeness however I would demand to speak to a manager as come on now how difficult is to get a burger from a chicken. It does not take a brain surgeon to figure out the difference, so if the manager were unwilling to help at this point I would demand to get my money back as there is no telling if they spit in my food and well I would not know other than what I have heard from other disgruntle customers.

If you receive a wrong order, you must talk to that same lady in spite of the rush, as a wrong order given to u will end up in a wrong order given to another person whose burger was given to you :).. Its always better to notify them.

Moreover the same can be done in a polite way :) we are humans, all of us have made mistake some where or the other.. One can politely explain the cashier about the wrong meal received.

McDonalds, Burger King or any other restaurant (fast food or otherwise), if they give me the wrong order I ask them to correct it. If you ordered a McDouble and got a McChicken, it's quite possible that someone else ordered a McChicken and got a McDouble. I always check my order before leaving the counter or the drive thru when I go to a fast food place. That way if I got the wrong thing, I don't have to worry about waiting in line to get it corrected. If you let them know that the order is incorrect, they're generally happy to fix the mistake.

If you check your order when they give it to you, you don't have to wait in line. You're right there, still at the front of the line. And if they gave you the wrong item, it's not your fault.

I would just be polite about it. I would go up to the cashier and tell them the truth once the line gotten shorter. Then I would ask them to replace the wrong order with the correct order. I don't really want to eat something that I didn't want to buy in the first place. It would make me feel ripped off. Many places are more than happy to correct their mistake for you. Just ask.

i would tell them that they gave me the wrong order. i won't yell or get mad because mcdonalds is a really busy food chain. they have got lots of orders every minute and it's natural to commit mistakes at a very busy and fast environment.

If I can stomach eating whatever the food was that they gave me that was incorrect and it was around the same price range then I usually just eat it and dont complain. I dont eat meat though so most things they give me incorrectly I will not eat then I am forced to take it back and tell them they made a mistake with my order. Sometimes they insist that I was the one who made the mistake but thats just to cover up their own behinds so they dont get in trouble. They really need to be very careful making the wrong order because if someone opened a fish sandwich and bit into it and thought it was going to be a hamburger and was in such a rush that they didnt notice the mistake then they could have an allergic reaction. So then it would be a huge deal that the resturant could get sued.

Hi Pnoyballer, I don't very often eat in those places so when I do go it is usually for an iced coffee or for someone else. I am very particular in that I can't stand coffee with sugar in it. All too often they add the sugar anyway. Once I was in a hurry and just dumped it and left but usually I will wait until they get it right. I always wait and have them fix it when they are wrong because otherwise, I would have to listen to the people whom I ran the errand for complain. So I would be going out of my way to listen to complaining and whining....no thanks! I work in retail and if I make a mistake on what someone wants or in the cost etc, I get told and I would want to get told. Most customers are really polite and just tell me that they think I've made a mistake. It's usually an easy fix.

Hi. pnoyballer366. If I really wanted what I originally ordered from the start, I will just park my car in the parking lot. I will then get out and walk to the front door of McDonald's. I will tell them that they accidentally gave me the wrong order. I hope that they gave me a receipt. This will help me in verifying that my order was indeed mixed up. If I am not too concerned about my order mix up, I will just keep it and eat it. Now what is cool is, getting an extra sandwich or a large fry with my meal!

I would tell them that they gave me the wrong order. If you let the long line get to you then you'd never get what you deserve. You paid for the food that you wanted and it s the correct amount so you deserve to get what it is that you ordered EXACTLY s you said it. It is their job to make you happy and it is their job to give you the correct order. If you let it pass, chances are, it will happen again because they were never corrected. If you tell them then you're not only gonna get what it is that you wanted but you've also helped them become better employees. Nevermind the long line. It may be an inconvenience to other customers but it is much more inconvenient to the management because their reputation is on the line. If they don't keep their customers happy then they won't be getting anymore customers than they already do or they just might lose some loyal ones.

You should get what you paid for. this includes a fast food order. i would not accept the wrong order given to me. i would take it back and have the restaurant take it back. Even if it means talking to the manager, you should not settle for their mistake.

That has never happened to me but I am the kind of person that would let something like that go. Its not like its an expensive meal or anything. I would also worry about getting the cashier in trouble.

Oh, it just happened to me yesterday. Yesterday I ordered double cheese hamburger from McDonald's, but then when I came back to my seat, I found that they gave me hamburger rather than double cheese hamburger. This is so bad. But since I already went back to my seat, I didn't want to make a trouble to go back to talk to them when it's crowded in the counter. So I had to eat the hamburger unwillingly. It gave me a lesson. Next time I shall pay attention what they give me. I love China

I would tell the cashier (nicely). Everyone has heard stories about what happens to your food at a restaurant if you complain too much! But I would tell them and get the right food, especially if there is a big difference, such as a hamburger instead of chicken nuggets. Having said that, I have gotten the wrong shake (vanilla instead of chocolate) and have not bothered to send it back, because it just didn't seem worth the time and aggravation.
