What do you think caused your loneliness? And what did you do to beat it?

When you feel lonely you isolate yourself even more and then wait for your mind to adapt to it. The mind is strong and it can learn to adapt to certain conditions. If you feel lonely then isolate yourself even further so you can become stronger. Remember that pain is just weakness leaving the body.

Yes i have felt lonely when someone makes me cry. When my girlfriend left me i feel lonely. But you know something? I prefer being like that because i believe that i can't handle mental pain so well. I wish there was something i could do about it but i guess i can't. When i am lonely i just read some books or listen to music or watch some movie. Distractions are good and in my home it's usually me only most of the time so i am kinda used to such a life. Cheers!

I felt so lonely especially when I am in my house all day and trying to reach someone but nowhere to be found, no responses to a call or not a message received. Its hard to beat loneliness but as much as I do, I try not to focus on the issue at hand, I usually intertain myself to get rid of such feeling like watching a movie, go buy some stuff , shirt perhaps or go to an amusement park and take a deep breath. Loneliness in my life is inevitable.

Loneliness, is a part of our life...Just think God's word and read the bible. Then Prayer is the best medicine

I never feel lonely, even though I'm alone. I prefer to be alone, because I can do whatever I like. I am more comfortable when I'm alone.

Hi, formidexo Good question - I read your article in Info Barrel. It is really good. I have no relatives where I live and the few I have left, live very far away. But I have good friends and I appreciate them very much. During over 30 years my friends have been my family and I try to find new ones to replace those who have disappeared in one way or another. I am used to solitude, and like it too sometimes and the phone has become kind of life line when I need human contact. Looks like many of my friends are spread in the world, but as we have the technology of our time, it helps a great deal. And I can always talk to my heavenly Father about everything so I am really not alone at all..

Not focusing on the loneliness can help us cope with it. Having things to do will minimize the effect.

Yes sometimes I feel lonely when nobody near to me means when I were alone in my house and all family members goes outside of the city. Then I feel lonely. But then I call my friends and after coming them we enjoyed the whole day. So I think sometimes this situation happen with me.

....Hi there, Hope you are doing well. I am kind of lucky, from a youngster, I guess because I was the oldest child in the family, or whatever, had and have a creative spirit. I made myself happy with myself. I am a writer, I draw and think in the abstact. Eveything interests me and I feel there is something to learn daily. So I am not a lonely person generally. Certainly anyone would have their moments but overall, lonely is not a worry of mine. I like people and love to talk but I am happy with my own company and very much at peace with myself. Interesting question. Take care.

Hi artistry! Yes, if we are creative we are happy when alone and when with people. I think that loneliness can be a state of mind that can be overcome by a positive attitude towards life and by using our time alone to express our creativity. Thanks for your input!
