If you will be reincarnated, would you still want to be back as human?

Looking at nature, sometimes I wish I could try the life of other creatures around. Like, for example, an eagle - how does it feel to soar above. Or a lion - how does it feel to be the king.
But it has its drawbacks, of course. In their world, in the animal or plant world, the rule is survival of the fittest. It is similar to human world but with more compassion.
So, I guess, if i will be reincarnated, I will choose to go back again as human.

Hi Pinoy
Indian mythology says that there are as many births as there are species on the planet. And Human is the last species. If you take birth as a human, you would be re-born (if there is a need - maybe some karma went wrong or anything like that), as a human.
Going by that, I do not have a choice.
But when I sit back and think, if I am to re-incarnate, I do not find any other species to be that interesting.
bird - some one would kill me for food, I would also have a very small brain
animal - someone again would kill me for food or hunt me down for my skin or anything
fish - I am scared of water reserves
trees/plants - I dont want to stay fixed to one place...
All of them seem to be so boring.
But being born as a Human... That sounds exciting. I can re-live the school days, college days(I am just fascinated by the number of functions they have at colleges these days), so many other good things.
Hope you get the view!
Cheers,
Sids.

Yes, I feel that despite all the vices that we humans have (of late we have too many of them and they are growing with each day), we are still the best.
Thanks for appreciating my response.
Have a good day.
Cheers,
Sids.

Thanks for the explanation thesids. I guess the wish of us to, sometimes, be a different being, is due to some stress or problems we are currently experiencing.
Thinking of it now and reading the response to this post, it is clear that, in our right senses, all of us will wish to come back as humans again.
As you've mentioned, there are drawbacks to being another creature other than human, but it is still better to be humans than any other creature.

if I will be reincarnated... I would prefer to be human again (initially) but then I changed my mind. Yes, it is really great to be a human but there are so many major draw backs. So I wanted to be ANYTHING... Any living things that is safe from all humans. Because I believe that when that time comes, humans are the major threat that could potentially kill every living thing on the planet. This is why I don't want to be a human again when I get a chance to be reincarnated... I don't want to be the sinner again.

You forget that as an animal you'd be helpless to change your environment, but as a human you can champion change and hopefully prevent further devastation of this planet. I think faith gets people into trouble. Too many people have faith that other people will solve our problems, that we'll find another planet to colonize so we can just forget about this one, etc. Our faith needs to warranted. We need to educate everyone on how to be more sustainable and limit our carbon footprint on this earth. Only then will we have hope in saving our planet and the amazing wildlife we find on it.

yes I know, but most people are just do today and forget tomorrow. On my opinion, we are already as helpless as we are right now. Having the power to change everything but doing nothing is much much worst than not having power to change anything at all. So, less the guilt I would still want to be an animal that is safe from all human stupidity.
and no, pokumon... I disagree with you. Faith doesn't got anything to do with it. Its CHOICES. Humans got choices.. and we are simply using it wrong that's why our faith are all messed up. Faith that other people will solve our problems is the worst thing anyone could ever entitle himself. WE HAVE TO MAKE DECISIONS ON OUR OWN!!! we as individual should start thinking what we could do to help save everything we have right now. simple things counts... but the big question is.. WHEN do we exactly start and HOW do we make it a daily routine? choices my friend.. choices... always down to choices and not faith.

I would choose to be a human again. I am not sure there is an animal that i would prefer to be. Being human is the choice i would have for being reincarnated.

It's a difficult decision to make. I would like to be able to experiment flying, like birds, but they don't live long enough.
Maybe it would be better to come back as a human, but not any kind of human. I would like to come back as a human who can experiment true happiness all of his or her life, depending on the gender I get that time.

It will be quite a blessing if we can comeback with knowledge of the mistakes we did in our previous life. In this way, we can correct these mistakes or will not make the same mistakes again.
But, I don't know. Humans are stubborn, we make the same mistakes over and over again.

No more hesitation human is the best but if I reincarnate in the form of a less intelligent animal it's going to be a dog. Not only will I have the chance to only eat and sleep, I would also be able to bite any human that I hate with full force if deserved. I've had a lot of dog bites that diminished my pride and I thought it would be cool to diminish someone else pride without getting bitten back.

I would prefer to come back as a human again. Because there are actually a lot of things that one would want to learn and human is the only birth or life in which we could learn so many new things. And i also wish to be anonymous to all. I don't want to be a celebrity or any star just an average school going kid would do for me.
Cheers!

Well, if I will be reincarnated, I would certainly like to become a human once again. I feel that the life is too small to do many good things and so if I am going to get a chance of getting reincarnated, why not to accept and try to fulfill many half done or even not done good work? Only thing I would accept that I will be euqally blessed by the almighty God in the next incarnation also.

I went through a bunch of animals whose ways are appealing, like the playful otter who seems not to have a care in the world; but bottom line, I'd rather be a human being.

That's a unique answer. If you will become a dust, it means you will have no life. Would you really like to come back as a lifeless thing rather than something which has life in it?

Nice question.
I probably don't wanna be back after having witnessed how scary being alive is and know that you'll die eventually.
But for the fun of it, I think I would rather be a heron.
Did you know that this bird is never fit for consumption? it has a very bad tasting meat and there's more bones than there is flesh so it's really not the favorite of hunters. And since it could fly away in times of trouble, it's not an easy prey.
Flight is one of the best bonuses of being a bird.

That is one other choice : you do not want to go back. Can't blame anyone who does not want to go back.

If I'll be reincarnated, I still want to be a human but in another life to fulfill my goals and dreams. But maybe I want to be with my family; like kinda start as a baby or a daughter/son to my children.

Yes, given a chance to live again, I would like to be reincarnated as human again. I have a friend who believes that if you have lived a very very bad life, you will be reincarnated as an insect. I do not have much research about "karma" but I believe in saying "You reap what you sow". Anyone reading this, can you please enlighten me?

i do not believe in reincarnation at all. there is no substantial evidence to prove it. i would not like to be an animal because i am a human.

I will be a bird or a dog.
I will be as free as a bird and as loyal as a dog.

I believe in reincarnation and remain convinced that one of my cats was a human in a past life as she understood EVERY word I said to her.
I would want to come back as a domestic cat but, knowing my luck, I'd end up in a shelter or something. One of those cats that doesn't get adopted.
My current cat has a great life so I'd like to come back as her when she's gone..if that makes sense..which it doesn't!

If I were to be reincarnated I would want to come back as a low level predator, such as a fox. The reasoning is this- animals face some of the most simplistic and profound problems that we do, minus the petty material details humans have. As a fox, I would be high enough in the food chain to have less worry of being eaten or hunted. Through the everyday fight to find food and to survive, I would learn far more about the world around me and how to be at one with my environment than humans have. By not being a top predator, I would learn to appreciate my place in life as not being on top, thus learning contentment.
