If you are in the US, there are social organizations that may be able to help you in finding employment.
If you are in the US, try to locate your state's Department of Rehabilitation. You may need to call some place like Department of Human Services, or even a nearby school for the hard of hearing. Each of these places should be able to help you or provide you with contact information for another organization that may be able to help.
In larger metropolitan areas, it may be possible for you to obtain work as a sign language interpreter, assuming that you sign. Other job possibilities could be house keeping, being a cashier or dishwasher, or a file clerk.
Best of luck!

I think it is not going to be difficult for a deaf person to get a job. There are many working areas that can accomodate you. So, can you tell us your education background or working experience, my friend?
In my area, deaf person can work as a building security, package carrier, postman, animator, even writer or composer (Beethoven was deaf actually).
So, do your best and never give up. Go to various places that can give you job according to your ability.

since when did you become deaf? i lost my full hearing last 2004 and now i only understand things that said loudly. i dont think the government put their attention to handicaps. if ever, i dont feel it. you have to find another way making money for a while. one choice is earning online.
