It is unfortunate to say that all mothers are not Good Mothers. We would hope that motherhood is not taken lightly however, we live in a society where being a Good Mother has lost it's true sense. Every day as I read the news I hear about the young mothers, dumping a baby in a trash bin, smoking pot into a baby's face and all sorts of outlandish despicable acts. Makes me wonder what they are thinking the entire time they are pregnant. It saddens to say that not all mothers are good, they forget that a child is a person also. They may be little people, but they still are people. how good are you as a mother? I am an excellent mother, I have put all my youth and wants into the back burner once I became a mother. I have an excellent relationship with both my children, despite all my single parenting years.

Hi, I can't comment that all mothers are a good mother. it is depend on individual. The definition of a good mother is taking care of her own kids and also taking care of her family. Do the best as she can for the sake of her family. I don't say that I am a good mother, but I am trying my best to be a good mother for my son. I prepared food for him everyday, bath him, play with him and try to spent more time with him.

Hello. I wish I could say Im a good mother, because that's what I wanted to be!. I don't think theres a measurement for being a "good mother", because this will have to answer the question of "morality". What maybe "good" or "moral" to me may not be "good" and "moral" to you. As a mother I want the best for my child, a good education, a good health and a nice environment for them to grow up. But wanting these things for my child is not enough to call me a good mother, right? I work everyday to provide them food, clothes and shelter, and by doing this I have to divide my time with my family and my work, and most of the time my kids got least... can you still call me a good mother?... Your question is really hard to answer Edna.. but I'm glad you did. Have a nice day! twinkle

Sadly all mothers are not good1 I think though that in the main most mothers - on giving birth - would instantly do anything for their child and their children become the most important things in their livers. But there are some selfish and even cruel women out there who do not measure up as a good mother.
