Orkut Scam warning "Bom sabado" Don't open orkut now.
Do Not open your orkut account temporarily and if you have done so immediately "clear Cache and cookies of your browsers and also clear web history"
Orkut is affected by scraps titled "bom sabado". which is heard to be a big virus/bug.
Everybody who are active on orkut close your orkut tabs and don't log in until the script gets disabled by orkut. bom sabado means "good friday" is an orkut bug/virus. The same virus had hit orkut last february, when a user is affected by this virus, it automatically sends scraps to "user's friends" titled bom sabado.
It is said to be a cookie stealing virus, hence all are requested to change their passwords as soon as possible and also clear your browsers history.
Its safe to be away from orkut until they give out the status of attack.

"Bom Sabado" means "Good Saturday" in Portuguese.
It isn't clear whether it's a virus or not but it appears to be a cross-site scripting attack through scraps. Orkut are, apparently, fixing the hole.
Changing your password, clearing your history and cookies is always good advice, of course.

I sat here for a bit thinking the same thing about Sabado, which in Spanish it also means Saturday...LOL...
What is Orkut?? From what I read int he discussion this is the second time this has happened? So would they have been a bit more secure after the first time?

Yeah it means good saturday :D Sorry for using wrong meaning :P.
Yeah I know orkut is fixing the problem, but its better to alert everybody and tell to take these precautions :).

Orkut is a social networking site like facebook, actually much widely used before facebook. Yeah I think they should have taken precautions, but unfortunately the attacker seems more intelligent than their people :D

Hey thanx for your information I was about to login to my orkut profile to check my scraps hey has this virus even entered gmail as both belong from similar source???

Well The bug/virus is only active in orkut, though I clearly mentioned it is a kind of cookie which collects information from your computer. So just clear the browsing history, cookies and cache. Also keep changing passwords often to be on the safer side.
