I highly recommend Niagara the Canadian site. If you like waterfalls of course. I will visit the American site too one day, when we celebrate our anniversary. People said ours is better but well I've seen it all living here.

Not yet we haven't been to Canada pinklilly, but we are busily saving to go there next year (2008), so keep your fingers crossed that we actually do make it over there.
This is the draft plan at this time. We will fly out of Australia and have a couple of days stop over in South East Asia somewhere, more for a break than anything else, and because it will be a long trip for us. From there we will fly into Vancouver and then take the train across the Rockies, ending up at Calgary. We will also be visiting Edmonton at some point, but will go there from Calgary.
Oh, and we expect to be in Calgary for the Stampede, which is what has determined the timing for the trip. We will also be going to see the Niagara Falls and also to New York State where we will be meeting up with some people from there. Oh and I think Ontario is also somewhere along the list of places to visit. Other than that we have no specific plans on places to visit, but expect that our son will organise something for us. He is actually the reason we are going over, and although he is home here in Australia at the present time, he will be heading back there to Calgary in a couple of months.
He will be gone for about a year and a half, maybe a little longer, but while he is there it is a great opportunity for us to see something of the country. Once we leave Canada, we will have another stop over somewhere in South East Asia for another couple of days before returning home here to Australia. My husband is considering going to a couple of other places in the US but has not really decided just yet. Basically we will be flying in and out of Canada, and these other things will be side trips for us.
Already I am excited about the prospect and of course saving for the trip, but it will take us that long to get it all together so we can have a good time, without having to worry that we don't have enough money. :)

Wow ossie that sounds like a lovely trip planned... We are hopefully planning to travel somewhere overseas at christmas I would really love to go to Canada but not sure if that is where we will end up, New Zealand would be lovely also and I have friends over there. We need to do some serious savings if we plann on going anywhere...

I immigrated here due to my marriage to a British Canadian and so we live in Ontario. I'd have to say I regret that decision when winter comes, since I came from a tropical country. Snow is white and beautiful until it starts piling up, melts and freezes again! Other seasons, I'll pick Canada over any country. Not to sound political, I like Harper and what he did to our tax structure. I'd love to visit Montreal although I know I have to learn more about French language before I do, but I know it will worth the visit. It's not like Hawaii or the Carribean, but it is beautiful. That's what I think.
