Use non-oil based make-up and cleansers.
Cleanse, tone and moisturise using non-oil based lotions and cleansers. Always exfoliate as that will rid any oil and dont wash your face too much twice a day is enough. Hope this helps, good luck.

hi there!
yes, i do use oil-free products on my face. though i can't help but notice that my face just gets oily. maybe it's because of the humidity too.. :D

I agree here with Celica as I too have a oily face but my covergirl loose powder controls it all day.

i check out your profile to find out your location coz i might know something to help you out with this problem. I have very oily skin too and even though i used primer, water-based makeup, oil control foundation and everything it still gets oily every 4 hours. Last year I discovered a beauty kit that effectively reduced the shine on my face. Yes, I didn't feel oily for 8 hours and for me, who oils a lot, is just a miracle. It includes a a sunblock that acts like a tinted moisturizer which helps control the oil too. Plus they come at a very reasonable price.
If you're interested about this product just send me a message.

Hiya mcoliva,
Neutrogena makes a Cream that controls oily Skin problems like you have. I have not tried this one either.
I have a mixed Skin and I use Ponds Aloe Vera and Cucumber Cleansing Lotion and it balances my Skin a treat too it cleans very deeply and leaves my face nor dry nor greasy maybe it will help you too.
I mentioned Neutrogena because they make pretty good creams but I think you might have a mixed Skin too perhaps not but it sounds like it so I found this cleansing lotion of Ponds and I will not give it up either.
It also takes down the puffy eye look too if anyone has that problem.
Hope this info helps or maybe for someone else.
Clinique does a very good oil control cream also but it´s quite expensive for me and Ponds does not cost too much compared to Clinique.
Also I saw a video on youtube the other Day and it was a Spanish Girl hence I have not put the Video of it and she uses a primer to stop the shine as she calls it underneath her make up and it really does have a good effect.

try mineral makeup. it lets your skin breathe and controls oiliness and shine.

i have oily and sensitive skin at the same time. used to do a lot of trial for the best make up only to find myself getting overly done. if you think you get oily a lot, you have the tendency to be retouching lot of times throughout the day. it will only leave your make up look cakey.
i don't think there's much that can be done to oily skin; that' just how your skin is made to be. just always have oil control sheets handy. :) and retouch with mineral loose powder every 4hours only.translucent powder is really good; it looks like it's barely there on your skin. doesn't give the "clown" effect. you still want to maintain a natural look and not over made up.
