If you believed that hell exist, can you kindly describe the hell in your own way. Can you tell us something that you can help us picture hell. Example: when you died and go to hell the you will be burn all over, endlessly, and feel the pain endlessly, and they will do all the bad things you done to other people endlessly.

Hello, This discussion reminds me of Dante's Vision of hell. You may download and read the book from here http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/8789 definitely one of the most interesting book in English literature. I never had any such vision of hell, though I believe that a soul filled with repentance and sorrow is an ideal visualization of Hell. I don't think anyone of us can say for certain what hell looks like. If anybody says anything about after life, it is either a speculation like that of Dante Alighieri or a complete bluff. Thanks. God bless you.

I think hell Has Nothing to do with fire but pain.It is like you Want to be close to the most beautiful thing you can imagine but because of what you did in this life you are seated further and further away.Pure hell is being seated so far away , the beautiful thing is just a dream. Therefore the pain is the strongest!

Years ago while on vacation, a guide who was showing my family and me points of interest in the area took us into a dungeon. I have never been anywhere as dark, creepy and foreboding as that place. There was absolutely no light. To some extent that's how I see hell, a completely dark place void of any goodness, completely separated from God. I believe even if you're surrounded by other lost souls, you'll still feel an unbearable loneliness.

Hell is not a real place but a state of which you are eternally separated from God. It is a concept and not a place per Se. Heaven is quite the opposite as it means that you are forever united with your Creator and Savior. With the question I think you'll be asking "Where do you get united or separated?" That my friend, I am not sure of. Purgatory on the other hand is somewhat a later addition to Catholic faith and was used by old clergymen to allow more compromise so that more would be drawn into the faith... this I think is not Good because it says in the bible that we should not twist the truth in order to attract people into the faith but instead tell them the truth and tell them the rewards of a life where God is our savior and Lord. We are much like the gentiles in the bible. We are not Jews but we have also been chosen to hear God's message... His Holy Word :D

Never been there, any description I give you would be fictitious. What I do know is it a place designed to keep you obedient to written laws, believers of such a place and the clergy.

Hell as a fiery pit for eternity does not exist. It is religion's attempt to convince you to follow when you won't. Of course, everything you do in life comes back to you in time. This is not to punish you but to show you what your choices and actions really mean. Part of this can be described as hell. Of course if one is willing to dish it out, then one shouldn't mind when it returns. That isn't always the case. The other side of it will be the love and kindness that can return to you. The choices are all ours to make. MAKE GREAT CHOICES!!

There is a discussion about Heaven and some of that discussion fits here. Hell is beyond our comprehension as someone said. Jesus gives us a good description of Hell. It is a place of torment and regret. We starve and hunger and see people in Heaven who cannot help us. It is both a state of mind and a spiritual place that seems to be physical. People suffer as if they actually have physical bodies. And they suffer alone. Everyone has his own personal hell, his own fears. It is a nightmare you can't awaken from, featuring beings that will get you. Some of these beings might be manisfestations of enemies you have had. For example, you've had an enemy whom you didn't get to come to peace with. If you both go to hell, then the manifestation of that enemy will torment you. And the manisfestation of you will torment him (it will not be you actually doing the tormenting.) Hell is the ultimate prison that no one can escape from which is why religious leaders and others try to warn us about hell. If we don't heed their warnings, then we have an infinity of regret. This leads me to the bottomless pit of Revelation. The bottomless pit is an infinity of you alone at the mercy of whatever evil is out there. And you'll have plenty of time to regret your actions.

I don't think anyone has ever been able to describe it perfectly because no one has ever been able to. Going through life with lots of trials and tribulations is hell in itself if one sees as it as it is.

I could not really imagine Hell, beyond what is in the movies. I can imagine that it is likely to be run by a UK politician that I have in mind: since his party have brought Britain a lot closer to it.

The following is from a vision that my sister had: She saw the bottom of a dark pit, blacker than the blackest night. The air was turning a grayish murky brown. Scorching heat suffused the pit like a blast from the hottest furnace blown into one's face, the heat suffocating. Darkness surrounded other people in chains who were screaming and crying for release from hideous beings who were tormenting them. Giant cages could be seen in the pit, and each cage contained a person with demons who tormented them, not just one demon but several to each person. Not all people were inside cages for some were chained to the ground, their arms and legs shackled in chains. Some were chained to the walls, and several demons were doing despicable things to them. Some of these demons were indescribably hideous, while others appeared almost human. These cages were made of iron bar and they were incredibly filthy; slime continuously oozed down the grimy bars like it had a life of its own. These bars had no beginning, they seemed to go on forever, never reaching the ceiling. The wall of the pit were like a dirty old cave, blackish in color, slimy and damp. The smell of burning flesh was so real; nauseating and sickening her as she observed this vision.

i think hell is our creation...we create our own hell during our lives. Hell , in my perception , is the place where all your fears that you had in your life meet and manifest in the most horrible way . Have a nice hell! :D

Haha, that's fun. Hell is something created by some religions to scare people and make them obbey stupid rules blindly. People like to be said what to do or what to think, so it worked great, as everyone can see. I don't believe in Hell as more than a fictional thing. If you have to use it as a metaphor, many countries can be considered a living hell, as people don't have food or medicines and are suffering all the time.

I picture hell as a lake of fire. Like a beach, the waves flows up until the shore. Everyone looks like a devil with horns and tail.. My ex bf is there.. and he will be the first one to get burned... together with his equally twisted gf.
