no idea or dressing can be imposed by anyone on girls ,it will be highly unfare ,whatever way they want to live they shoud live ,reson for rape is mentality of boys ,if this happens then they should be given exmplary punishment ,no body may dare to do so in future ,thanks for sharing.

well personally, i think it is rising because of the portrayal of it in television.

Rape is a crime of passion and has little to nothing to do with what a girl wears. To blame a girl for wearing too little and therefore is opening herself up to rape is a load of bull! If rape is on the rise it indicates there are more guys that want to violate a girl and nothing to do with what they wear. Women who are fully clothed are raped so it has nothing to do with clothing. It is a crime of opportunity and by making themselves more available in places where drinking is allowed places them in a vulnerable situation, especially if they are drunk. The responsibility for rape is 100% on the man who rapes not on the girl who is the victim.

I don't think it matters what someone is wearing, rape is never justified. Even if someone is walking around naked that does not give someone the right to rape them. So I think your question of if clothes are relevant to why some people get raped is irrelevant to your question of why rape is on the rise.
