What is the best way to loose weight?

I know I'm not the first one that asked this question. But seriously... I was thin when I was in high school and when i started college my weight became from 47 kg to 61kg which is my present weight right now. I'm only 5 feet tall and that weight is very heavy for me already. I've tried diet pills even no rice diet and even though I loose some after that I gain some. I tried the exercise dvd's it will work but then again after a few months I will regain the weight. How about you guys? Have you struggled with your weight for so long it feels like your loosing hope on getting rid of them? THE FATS? Also i want to be healthy that's why I want to loose as much weight as possible. Any suggestion or tips will help me. Thanks. And happy weekend!!!

It's said that there is no fat women in the world, but lazy ones...Though kind of harsh, it has its sense to some extent.
In my opinion, keeping fit is a whole-life thing. And exercise together with healthy food is the best way to loose weight. If you've made some progress, you need to go on. I'm now okay with my weight, which is 40 kg. But I wanna make my thighs look thinner. And I believe that taking proper exercise will help me achieve it. Good luck.

thanks banban. you are right. i guess sometimes laziness do creep in me and i tend to not exercise everyday. but my you are very light. 40kg? is that okay with your doctor and your height? anyway good luck too with your thighs exercise. i am optimistic now that i have read all your comments here... so many tips that i can choose from...

The best way I have found to lose weight is to eat several small meals a day. I eat about 5 times a day and eat whatever I want as long as I stay within 1800 calories a day. I am not hungry, and I eat what I want so if I have a craving I go ahead and eat it so that I dont go over board when the craving gets to be too much. I have found too that now that I eat like that I have less cravings, and tend to chose healthier options without thinking about it.
All the diets out there are just that. You will lose weight but once you stop you gain it back plus some. I walk 2.5 miles everyday and drink a LOT of water. Once it becomes part of your life style it becomes much easier to lose the weight and keep it off.

thanks for the tip Erilyn. My main problem with walking is that my legs become swollen and big. the doctors already told me to lose more weight before starting to walk because I'm also hurting my knee. I will try to lose 5 kg for the next 2 months. I want to be able to walk and jog next year as I really want to lose and be healthy.

Have you tried something not as stressful on your body such as yoga? You can do basic yoga, just simple stretches and you would be amazed at what it does to help. I have 3 herniated discs in my back, and when i went to physical therapy I could barely walk. They started me on light yoga stretches, by the end of the week, I could start walking slowly again. by the end of 4 weeks I had all my mobility back. It was a hard process, and there were days I hated going in there. I still cant jog because it is too hard on my back. Take it one day at a time.

thanks. i will try yoga... actually all of the tips here i'm starting to do slowly and one by one... i guess i really have to be serious in my weight lose training since it really became a burdensome for me... my weight is too heavy for my frame... next week i will go another nutritionist to check why although i'm trying to live a healthy and very active life now i still don't loose weight that much.

I've struggled with my weight all my life until I finally realized that it wasn't the food but rather my relationship with it that was unhealthy. There is only one way to lose weight permanently. That is to change your lifestyle. You have to eat healthy controlled portions. It is a simple equation of calories in have to be less than calories out to lose weight. You also have to do some form of cardio exercise for minutes a day and if you incorporate weight training into your exercise routine you will find that you will be trim and toned. Good luck

Well loosing weight is a continuous process. you got to stick to the diet that you have planed and also workout regularly. some of us are putting weight even after doing this. well in that case you need the help of a doctor. well skipping the late meals is a good way of loosing weight

hey stylewaves. yap I don't eat oily foods and don't eat chocolates or drink softdrinks, cola either. but i really don't know why i'm not loosing weight and its making me really upset!!! need to lose first before I can run. too much weight is bad for the knee. thanks for the post!!!

Healthy Diet and a Healthy Exercise program.
I am obese myself and I am slowly losing my weight through diet now. My emphasis is on vegetables and protein and less on sugars, and unhealthy fats.
I plan to go on an exercise program when I hit 190 lbs. Now I am around 215 lbs. I was around 230 lbs in June 2010.

I think by doing exercise regularly you can loose your fat. And also you may avoid that type of food who has capacity of food very much. I think you can also join an institute which gives us training how to loose our fat. But I think if you doing exercise daily then you can loose your fat very soon.

The same thing happened to me when I went to college. I was very skinny in high school and by the time I graduated college, I was a bit overweight. When I got into the workforce, I found there was no time for exercise and a healthy diet. I gained even more weight.
The best solution that I have found to losing weight effectively is a DVD called P90X and a diet of fruit, vegetables, fish, and chicken. It really takes time to get used to and fitting an hour and a half long workout session into my already long and hectic day is tedious, I have to do it in order to really lose the weight and keep it off.

the best way to lose weight is to eat fewer calories and increase your physical activities. Change your lifestyles, change your eating habits, you must limit your food intake especially foods high in calories, Increase your physical activity like walking. Walking is an excellent form of physical activity that almost everyone can do.

Exercise, eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, and don't eat a lot at night. try not to eat a lot of rice.

Best way is to meditate! Rising weight is due, to slow metabolism (very slow) and that is due to unbalanced energy with in the body, Meditating is a great way to fix that, and doing that while fasting is even better!!! You will find that this is the only way to lose weight and remain the same after! Diet pills, tablet, diets, only make things worth, you keep unbalancing your metabilism that becomes harder for it to function properly after, if you realy care to lose weigh and become much healthier you should begin to meditate... there is many websites available for meditation that you can find or even buy some books, you should meditate for at lease 5 + age minutes a day! Fasting for some periods of time will also help to clean your body from all the garbage that built up over the years, and in the end stored as fat! Sites like this one http://4faded15.linkbucks.com, is and many others! although i recommend Chakra meditation, remember there is a lot of videos available online about this and you dont need to spend a cent any were it is all in your hands!!! haven't tried to loose weight by meditating. and haven't done that as well. i will try this too. thank you... its also really hard i think when you are living in the city since most of the time its very noisy in here. the crowd and vehicles so i don't have a place or time to meditate. [even its midnight its bustling out here since we are near the red district of the city, clubbing]

do you know why most of the asian are thin and tiny? all asian country has only one similarities..we eat organic food, no artificial flavor. The food we ate are straight from roots, like the fish, it is fresh from the ocean, the rice, straight from the farm. All the vegetables just pick from the backyard. As for me, i am 5 feet tall, weigh 88 lbs. age 26. Since high i always want to get big, or much bigger. I am too skinny. I tried any fat foods, i ate a lot of food too. But i am just unlucky. I have a lot of friends who want to loose weigh..i just told them, that it is easy. First thing to do:
morning breakfast. i ate rice, scrumble egg, beacon.
lunch: sometimes i pass it.
dinner: i have to eat anything..
It is same everyday, i am balancing not my food, but the meal time. See, when you eat in the morning, your lunch should be like, not much, since you didn't much during your lunch time, you should eat more in your dinner time, because when your sleeping, your digestive system still working even your sleeping.
In the next morning, since you a lot lastnight, you shouldn't eat a lot, then during your lunch, you can eat a little, then balance your dinner. The same thing for the next day.
DO NOT JUST BALANCE THE FOOD YOU EAT..BALANCE ALSO THE TIME OF YOUR MEAL.
FROM MORNING TO DINNER. EVEN SNACK.
TRY IT, AND WAIT FOR A MONTH IF YOUR LOOSING WEIGH..

I think everyone that has trouble w/their weight knows the answer to this. U just have to watch what u eat, the quanity u eat & exercise if u can. I have always had a weight problem. It's hard to follow these rules but that's what u have todo to lose weight & keep the weight off. GOOD LUCK.

I was also the same. I have tried hell diet and I lose and gain back.
The realistic idea to lose weight is to do exercise. Do you watch biggest loser on hall mark channel?
