What do you think about e-cigarettes?

I was browsing the other day and I came across this website promoting e-cigarettes. At first I thought, wow, is this for real? But as I went on reading the article about their product I realize that it was no joke. They said their product is revolutionary in the sense that smokers will no longer smoke directly from traditional cigarettes but from some sort of an inhaler where nicotine is vaporize instead of being burn. It is supposed to be cleaner since all the smoker will get is nicotine. No odor and smoke; therefore, no pollution. No ashes an cigarette butts; therefore, no waste. What do you think? To be honest, I never heard of e-cigarettes before. Not that I would be actively seeking it since I have already kicked out my smoking habit many years ago. I was just wondering why people had to develop this kind of thing. Even without air pollution or waste products , nicotine is still toxic and it is basically still a poison.
