Hello folks,
I would like to talk about an interesting topic, even though the news has been on the internet for quite some times now. It's about the "real lightsaber," a beam sword that becomes a futuristic weapon in Star Wars universe.
I am also a big fans of Star Wars, and I have been collecting lightsaber replicas for almost three years. Mostly close to the real thing, but only in terms of size, appearance, and substance.
The replicas cannot produce real energy beam, and the beam is replicated by either LED or luxeon (class 2 laser type lamp).
So, here comes the news. It has been taken from my Google search: http://www.theforce.net/latestnews/story/dangerous_lightsaberlike_laser_on_sale_132486.asp
--------------------
A handheld laser likened to a Star Wars lightsabre and so powerful it can instantly blind and "set fire to skin and other body parts" can be bought online and shipped to the UK.
The device - with a beam 1,000 times stronger than sunlight on the skin - is touted by makers as "the most dangerous laser ever created".
Trading standards chiefs said they were "seriously concerned" about the sale of the model and have warned against its use.
As well as blinding, burning and causing cancer, its Hong Kong-based maker admits that "a split-second laser light in a plane cockpit can be disastrous".
Star Wars fans are among hundreds of people who have already shown an interest in buying the laser, for sale to the general public for £135."
--------------------
Unfortunately, George Lucas has issued to stop this product, and right now we can no longer purchase the so-called real lightsaber anymore.
So, what do you say, guys? Won't it be fun to have a real lightsaber in hand? Or, do you consider this thing dangerous and not worth selling?

I am not sure you can find it on the store, but the video? I believe it is still available.

I believe it would be so much fun to own the lighsaber primarily because I am such a fan of Star Wars and find that somewhere in the future this sort of item will be a very valuable memorabilia.
I certainly would not want to use it to kill per say, but it would be cool to have and know that someone if trying to endanger me would think twice before they did. hehehe...
