Dear Friends
GOD has given same mind to all the human beings with same type of glands inside it but still why is it so that some people have more patience while others have less ?
When I see patience I think that person with more patience have brain part associated with patience larger than that of person with lesser patience ......
What do you think is the reason behind varying patience among same type of human beings with same type of brain ?

Patience is not a gift. It is related to the positive attitude one has towards life which affect the positive mental wellbeing in the face of opposing influences. It is a skill to be carefully nurtured and practiced to be able to be good at it. And that is why patience is a virtue.

One of the main factors that affects this is the environment they grew up on. Another one is the people they were with when they were growing up. People who're confident on themselves seems to have more patience than vice versa, although it's not always the case.

Alright. The problem lies with the environment around us and the world we live in nowadays. The environment around us consists of a lot of things like mobile phones, cars, anything which can take us from point A to point B and everything is accessible to us. For me, in my country, drivers are very impatient. They horn for nothing, even when a car is in front of them, they insist on overtaking and having the mindset of :I'm the first. When things go wrong, road rage occurs, people beating other people and this becomes a vicious cycle. I think those who have a lot of patience are monks. They pray all day and they stay in the temple everyday, perhaps... Maybe they don't have any laptops or mobile phones or anything high tech around them. That explains it.

God always make the calibration of the life, so he create several kinds of people.
but the fact the patience people control their life and get more but the less patient people more loose.
there is an arabian saying: the victory with patience.

Well the question is really nice.
i think god given same mind and parts glands for all. O.K. but I believe each ones capacity is DIFFERENT. each human is unique. like in general we all have blood.
but there is certainly different group. IQ is different. EQ is different. and the patience part is connected with EQ i think. Experts pls. correct if i am wrong. Also the experience one accumulates and his understanding of the situation also plays some important role i think.

I attribute it to genetics; and some environmental issues, plus stress factors. But I have also seen varying degree of tolerance in human. And I just get shocked when I see people to lose their patience almost for no real reason.

Dear friend,
I hope patience is some thing that is made up. As each individual attains certain qualities by themselves due other favourable atmosphere or circumstances they are brought up. I feel it comes from those situations that a person had dealt from his bird onwards. It might be a part of character formation, as each individual has their own single character.

I think some of this is genetic but a lot of it is how you were raised. Some may even be diet.

I think there are a lot of persons who have such a great patience. I think the need of patience is must. Because if you have no patience then you can’t able to control on yourself. I am happy that I also have a great patience. And sometimes I wait for a long time for many things. I think patience make us strong. So I never feel irritate because I have patience. And someone says if you have a great patience then you always find anything but you can still waiting for this.

I think it is something that can be trained actually. It is true that some people naturally have more patience than others, but this does not mean that it always has to remain that way. I have become more patient as I have gotten older, for instance, and I am sure the same thing happens to others also!

It is true that God made us according to His image and likeness. But God made all of us unique from each other. We all have different personalities, different strengths, different weaknesses, different talents and skills. Our attitudes vary from each other that's why there are people who are so easy to please while there are others who are not. All of us have different happy and lonely experiences in life. Talking about patience, I guess it is just a matter of being able to understand others. If a person understands why the other is acting or behaving that way, then he or she can extend his or her patience. It's like if a teacher fully understands why preschoolers behave that way, then their patience must really be abundant enough. Indeed, patience is a virtue.

honestly, we don't have the "same type of brain" because our genetics are different - unless you are an identical twin...
Then, there are things that affect that happen, between conception and birth and on into the rest of your life that affects the body and brain.
There is nature AND nurture that make a person respond one way or another.
Two children brought up the same way may still be different because of the genetic differences between them.
You hear about twins separated at birth by adoption doing things much alike, so there is some validity to nature being more important than nurture at some deep level.

Hi there Ganesh44!
It is not easy to have much patience when the environment demands more. Sometimes, we just lose it. Sometimes, we just don't know where else to get some more patience. However, it is important for us to always remember that patience is a virtue.
I have been teaching for almost 11 years now and believe me, I need a lot of patience most of the time. I think though, that because of the experiences I have had, it's easier to be more patient now especially with students than before.
So I think that training and education as well as the environment in general are factors contributory to people who have more patience.

Sometimes having patiences is not a good choice. There is a scenario where one is waiting patiently for a bus in the line in the bus stop and suddenly someone from behind breaks the rules and get into the bus before the person who is waiting patiently for hours for the bus and the one who is behind overtakes and get into the bus, then in such a situation patiences will not work. So not always being patience will not work sometimes one has to lose their cool, this is good for their health. Show patiences, but with the right person, at the right time & to the right degree, for the right purpose,in the right way. This is my principle, sometimes situations arise where one cannot follow the above said lines but try to be in that way to be happy...

Hi,
I think patience would come with experience and time. As a person grows older he becomes more patient and tolerant of others. Also you learn from your experiences. You will know that in some cases patience will be more fruitful than if you hurry and will learn to be more patient.
It would also depend on the nature of the person.

I can only speak for myself for now. I have little patience for things that do not demand excuses. During appointments, I see to it that I always come on time or arrive 15 mins before the agreed time. And since I come on time, I do not wait for more than 30 minutes. I usually leave and reset the appointment for another time or another day. I simply do not have any patience for people who do not have "a word of honor". They leave a mark and lose their credibility. I am impatient for orders that I have given clearly but is not being acted upon immediately.
In contrast, I am patient for people who tells me the truth from the start if they will not be able to fulfill their commitments on time. I am patient for promotions, I believe you will get a promotion in due time if you just do your job well. I am patient for things that are happening in my life because I know time will come I will get what I deserve.
