This person just popped out of my Yahoo Messenger. I, myself, wondered how this person got there. I never remembered accepting a friend request from this person. I think after reading this, we'd all agree that Yahoo needs to work double against this major security breaches. Here's the chat. But please, no minors allowed! whitneyshraiman1929: hey sweety how are you? Me: who's this please? whitneyshraiman1929: I'm great thanks for chattin with me. Might have to excuse me, i'm a little horn!er than usual tonight () Me: You might want to borrow my butcher's knife? whitneyshraiman1929: I'm not too into pics .. are you? i got something even better than pics u can see the real thing on my cam... (link) me: i won't bother. i hate throwing up my dinner whitneyshraiman1929: if i was a bot ..why would i be wearing this hat?? lolz me: that's not a hat. that's a dunce cap whitneyshraiman1929: let me know when u get there? me: let me know wen you're dead whitneyshraiman1929: make sure you click join free in orange at the top, click it k? Me: Oh, you're the annoying orange??? wow, you're famous! whitneyshraiman1929: ok, fill out your info, first and last name, make sure you put your correct b-day k? Me: My first name is Buzz and my last name is Off. My birthday is none of your business. whitneyshraiman1929: Credit card, debit card, or atm is just to verify your age hun, your card will NOT be charged just validated see where it says that? like i said it's FREE... cant show t!t$ and pu$$y to minors..you know? Me: are they for sale? cause I'd like to give them to my neighbor with self-esteem issues She stopped responding but her answers were obviously just computer-generated. And I blocked her...er...it after that. If it was you in my place, would your eagerness for cyberTHING have gotten in the way of better thinking? Would you have risked your ATM, or credit cards for a big SCAM like this? I posted this to warn people. So take heed.

I think yahoo should seriously see what the heck we have to go thru with this, sweetie. I am nuts enough to go and look for this thing and make sure it never pops up anywhere on this planet again. It is freaking gross to see and hear how people get turned on by this kind of bull. Thanx for the warning. TATA.

Lucky for me those things don't turn me on. Especially the ones that try to get your ATM or bank details.

Makes me wonder if there's some sort of a training center on how to be a good bot!

More than a turn off than on, sweetie. They teach them well, though.

That's why whenever I enter a chat room I always start the conversation with , do you have a pulse? This was very entertaining to read. I was laughing pretty hard. Thanks for sharing :)

LOL @ pulse, and I'm sure it responded with something very far-fetched.

And they still had panties on to even talk about it?

That's when they usually start talking about their panties...

That was obviously computer generated and your exchange with this automated chatting program, or whatever, was really amusing. It reminded me how some sitcoms would spoof out some movies when they make a conversation with a particular person in a particular movie, making their exchange very humorous. I think I had a similar experience with the one that you have shared and I simply just closed the chat window. I don't really find it interesting and I would even be more cautious if its asking for some information regarding to any details that would funds vulnerable. You really can't be too careful when it comes to SCAMS and its even more easy to do now that the internet has made it more convenient

Unfortunately, a lot of people can still fall victim to these kinds of things

hi ratyz, ah yes, I have seen those type of videos. I actually also closed my window on a lot of occasions but I was just in the mood to fool around on this one particular bot to see if anything happens. Well, none, thankfully.

I have had those annoying things pop-up too. Like you i wondered how this is being allowed. I usually just block and spam them without ever responding to them.

I dont know. Maybe so. All i knw is that they are annoying. On the messenger you would think only your friend can reach you.

Maybe Yahoo's security measures are just too penetrable.

I remember when I did this. It was funny at first but got boring and I just block all these robot people. They are now incredibly annoying so I don't just add anyone, I know that a lot of people get infected with some virus that makes me think that my friend wants me to look at some 'picture' link when really it's a virus :(

I hope no one ever falls prey into these schemes anymore. It's just sad how some people still get tricked over something obviously foolish.

lol when I do sign onto Yahoo there are always people wanting to chat and I just ignore them you are way more willing to talk to strangers than I am besides, as a fe-type-male, I'm really not interested in another female

Don't worry elic. First, that thing didn't have any gender in the first place. Well I didn't know what had gotten into me and made me talk with that lifeless being, but I knew I had fun throwing those lines at IT.

Well, why do you continue to speak with that robot in the first place? But you are right. It's quite annoying, and Yahoo has to work on that. You know, sometimes I just make fun of it. I just answer in Indonesian (my native language), telling it stupid, dumb, or whatever nasty words I can find in my Indonesian vocabulary. But not much, only when I feel very upset.

Hi Ramaditya, I kept responding out of fun. Just by how the conversation started, I already knew this was a spam.

LOL! I was a bit amused by some of your responses to the bot. Well, I've got this 'person' coming up on my MSN sometimes. My first thought was that: it's a bot. Guess what? It really is a bot. Two things to be suspicious of: when it talks to you, it doesn't show down there that it's typing a message. Secondly, its responses are irrelevant to the responses you give back to it. Ok, what can we derive from this? The person who used this bot to scam other people's money, is a total retard LOL!

Well that bot must have been one of the expert ones because there was a "typing a message" line that appeared before its responses appeared. But it's true that those were irrelevant.

It was quite interesting n fun to read out your chat sessions with the robot. After reading your discussion only I knew that u can make robots like this. But in my case, I stopped going to yahoo chat rooms since 2007.. Your information is really helpful for me cuz, by chance if I do go to Yahoo Chat Rooms , I won;t be fooled by these robots

Hi friend, I didn't get this in Chat rooms. This certain person just really appeared on the main page/site of my Yahoo Messenger. Funny thing is, I don't remember adding this person up in the first place.

I have faced a similar situation in yahoo chatrooms before. I do not know what people achieve by making such bots. It is a waste of time.

Yes, obviously it is a spam. I really wonder if there's anyone, in his right state of mind, who would fall for those.

It is awful, hateful, and embarrassing all in one. This is one of the main reasons if ever I use chat that I always list myself as invisible so that only I can chat with whomever I choose as it is ridiculous to have to deal with stuff like this. Is there a feature on there that maybe you can send the entire chat thread to support?

I wish there was, or I wish I knew how. I never would hesitate to report such things as they could harm other people too. At least I could have a hand in helping stop this spamming activity. One reason why I also go invisible is also to keep some people I don't wanna talk to away but never had the intention of deleting them.
