Me and my boyfriend loves to watch movie every sunday at their house. a while ago, he chose to watch this movie entitled "The Fourth Kind". its about the fight of a psychologist through her belief. its a superb movie since from the beginning up to the end of the movie you will be hooked up and attached. and you will ask yourself? do aliens really exist? are we not alone in this universe? sightings, recorded videos are hard facts to consider that they do really exist. but into your own belief? are they? if you believe, its for you decide.
does anyone here at my lot who had watched this movie? do you believe in aliens? :)

I've seen that movie too.
If the movie is the reason you're wondering if aliens exist then I think we should analyse the movie so we can truly decide if aliens exist.
First:
Did you notice that the aliens spoke Sumerian?
That is ancient Babylonian. According to scriptures God despises the Babylonians because of their demonic practices.
Second:
Each time a person was hypnotized, instead of just remembering what happened, they were 'possessed' by the aliens i.e. the aliens spoke through them. That's not supposed to happen when you're just remembering what happened which is what hypnosis is about. Does this sound like demon possession to you? It does to me!
Third:
The aliens kept saying: 'Stop the study... pray instead.... i am saviour... i am god...' This sounds a lot like the aliens expected to be worshiped not to come and take over the planet or connect with us or something else.
Fourth:
The people who'd been abducted levitated when they were hypnotized. This is standard behaviour for people who are possessed.
If you are in doubt:
There are parts of the film where we were shown footage of flying saucers. There are parts of the Bible particularly Ezekiel where Jesus was seen on a flying vehicle that sounded a lot like a space ship.
I think it's more likely that it was demon possession not alien abduction in the case of this film.
However it is actually possible that there are other life forms on other galaxies. We'll find out sooner or later ;-)

Enigmatick, you come closer to my type of thinking. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I'm glad you described it. My question to you is, what do you think Genesis 6:2 describes?

@ RobtheRock:
Hi! I'm glad you think the way I do! I actually have a theory that the 'Sons of God' mentioned in the Bible in Genesis 6:2 are those super beings who inspired humans of the time to call them gods e.g:
Isis, Rah e.t.c.- Ancient Egyptian gods
Zeus, Poseidon e.t.c.- Ancient Greek gods
Do you see where I'm going with this?
These ancient 'gods' were known to have slept with mortal women who gave birth to children who were giants with special powers.
So what we see as ancient beliefs could actually be based on reality. (Genesis 6:2)
I'm eager to hear your thoughts on this, Rob!
Talk about anything-no hypothesis is too crazy to explore and analyze!
@ Nereidiane024:
I'm glad you liked my response. As much as I try to think logically and outside the box, I've come to realize that life's answers are usually the same no matter the questions you ask.
I've been curious about UFO's and aliens for quite a while and I've read and watched as much material as I can but the patterns are still the same-no matter what angle you look at it from.
If you're like me-you'll always ask questions and always yearn for answers. I think healthy curiousity is what makes life worth living. If you stop wanting to learn new things then there's no joy in life.
Always keep asking these beautiful questions.

I certainly believe they exist. I believe it would be arrogant of me to believe that humanity were the only intelligent species in the universe... after all, it's a BIG place.
Having said that, I used to laugh at a friend of mine (friend no longer unfortunately, his choice not mine). He was constantly watching programs like star wars, star trek (all versions), babylon 5 etc and yet, when directly asked whether he believed in aliens the answer was 'NO'! I thought that was very amusing

There are billions of stars in the universe, and in these stars there are billions of planetary systems (similar to our solar system). Maybe there are millions of earth like planets that could support life too.
Given this as a common sense, we can assume that we are not alone in the universe. The question that we can ask is What kinds of life forms exists in these other planets? Are they intelligent creatures? And If they are, at what stage of technological development are they?
Or maybe they are just as basic as a simple bacteria in their stage of evolution, or they have developed bodies as huge as our dinasaurs.
So yes, they exist. No questions need be asked about this. We just can't prove this yet because travel between galaxies would take a million years. Not unless of course, you are someone by the name of Clark Kent. =)

I believe that aliens exist, just think how big the universe is and it is possible that somewhere out there is a planet where other living beings exist. Even in our own planet, new species are still being discovered. The question is when will we have proof, with our technology there is no way we could find that planet. And even though it could be found, how could we communicate with those other creatures. It might be another planet with beings that has the intellect of animals. But there are a lot of possibilities. We just have to wait and see. Maybe someday...

I guess, humans are already too technologically-advanced not to notice any other beings in the universe.

I have seen that movie, and I have never believed in aliens but that movie really does make you stop and think about it. I dwelled on it for a while there, but i'm pretty sure I don't believe. For a movie to make me really doubt myself though, you know it is a good movie =)

Something else as to be apart of our universe.
I can't believe for a second that we're the only planet that contains life form, it would be very odd if this was the case and it would slash all hopes of finding a suitable place for us to expand onto. If the earth like planets do not have life I personally don't see us being able to live there.

i did not watch the movie you mentioned in your post but in general i like to believe in the exstence of other living creaturs in the universe..so i think it would be really cool if there will be the opportunity to have a meeting between two different life forms..

This last weekend I watched a documentary about some retired military men who were coming forward with their stories of alien encounters. They had been sworn to secretcy while in the military. They saw some extraordinary things that can't be explained. I can understand the governments need to not excite the public and wanting to keep things quiet. If these stories are true then what other things are being seen and experienced? Makes one wonder. I have never seen anything but these military men seem to be people you wouldn't question.

Here is the only one I could find: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1314546#post16158653

Celticeagle, do you know where I can view that documentary? Saturday someone on AOL news described air force men who briefly discussed an incident at a nuclear missile base. They had a discussion this afternoon at 12:30 at a press club and I can't wait to see that discussion because they had more to say. All I know is that the article said they were about 60 feet underground when the guards above saw a flying saucer of sorts. All kind of weird things happened which freaked everybody out. And like Roswell, they were told to shut up.

Whomever u call outside the planet they are considered as aliens, then i do accept that there are aliens..
In the parallel universe there is exactly another human(outside our planet so it's an alien) in our form..It will have exactly the opposite behavior and characteristics but the same physical form..
Yes, i do believe in that form, but surely not some other forms of aliens like different and hard creatures who create fear throughout ..
I don't believe in space shuttles too..

It cannot be proved, we just find it hard to reach for other planets in the same galaxy...
Where do we go to find the parallel universe in the Milky Way?

I haven't watched the movie yet. But my believe in Aliens is something like 10/90. I don't really believe in them. I believe in ghosts and the supernatural. For people who said they saw UFOs flying over the sky, I don't really believe. My perception of aliens are, big oval heads, round black eyes and small mouths. LOL! Unless I encounter them, I won't believe.

JudgeIronFist, what's weird about the early science fiction movies of aliens with big heads is that is truer to what aliens should look like. When astronauts or cosmonauts go up into space, they have bone loss, they get thinner, and the blood goes to their heads (because of the least effects of gravity) and their faces puff up. So it seems a little logical that if you had a son or daughter born in space and living in space, that their heads would be big and oval. Notice when babies are born that their heads are large anyway. But being born in space should make their heads even larger.

I should watch that movie. It sounds really interesting. Although I don't enjoy sci-fi so much, I rather enjoy the idea of aliens. I think aliens exist in a way that we, as humans, cannot understand or measure. In the vastness of the universe, we couldn't possibly be "alone". I agree that "sightings" and rumors about area 51 are most likely not true... but I don't think we're truly alone.

The universe is vast .So one cannot imagine that there is no alien. There are many stars and planets that are not yet discovered by us. We yet cant verify there is life in moon and earth, then how can we say about the universe. So i think there may be some form of life somewhere in universe.I am also very curious for its discovery.
I didn't watched the movie you mentioned. I think soon i will be able to watch it.

Kingsly86, if you saw an alien, you still might not believe. Many of those abducted by UFO's didn't believe it either. Only hypnosis helped some of them accept the fact that something happened to them.

As much as I would like to be skeptical about it, its quite possible that other beings from out there can exist.
Maybe they would have other forms which can be anatomically be strange for us but, never the less, still have some form. Color and appearance would also come in a variety.
Let's put it this way, if we exist in this planet of ours, why not other beings from a different planet as well? They would probably have their own culture and way of communicating which would be quite interesting.
Have we not been trying to progress through our technological advances? We have sent space ships, satellites and even people into space. It is possible that in another place, where technology might be far more advance than what we have at the moment, they have already developed ships to travel to other planets.
Things are possible.

hi nereidiane I surely do not know but in this vast space there well maybe others just like us and they are wondering if they are alone in this vast space too.I have not seen your movie and I have also not s een any hard evidence about aliens on our planet here. I need proof before i accept wild claims. anyone can claim to have seen an alien but so far nobody has given the slightest proof either.

It's possible because there are some people who have seen UFO's. But maybe there is. We're living in this planet then maybe there are some living things on the other planet too! We really don't know!

Yes i really think there is. There are countless numerous planets our there. And that chances of a planet having a lifeform just like earth is really likely. But having a contact with us since we are really far away from the nearest galaxy is very unlikely.

I've watched that film with my brother and sister-in-law. It's a cool movie. It's very creepy how they were abducted and the crazy things that people experience after being abducted. As to my belief in aliens, I don't know if they've really visited earth, but I believe that we're not the only living creatures in this vast universe. I believe there are other civilizations in other galaxies. I just don't think that I can believe alien abductions that easily. I'm not saying that it's not possible. I think it is, because we also study the things that we're curious about. There hasn't really been a concrete and tangible evidence that there really have been abductions.
