Just want to ask how can I create a gif from a video clip. Do I need to save the screen captures first? If I save the screen captures how do I combine them? I think Adobe Photoshop can make GIF but i do not have one so is there any other way? Hope someone can help. Thanks in advance.

Wow I think I have that software before. I just need to find that again and will try. Sadly my computer was broken before and I had to reformat. I hope I saved the installer for that. Thanks for the info by the way and if ever I succeed (on finding the installer or making gifs) I will try to update here. Thanks again.

I've read this tutorials before regarding making GIF out of a video clip. First you need Photoshop cs3 and a movie maker that lets you edit an avi clip. Then, find a video of your choice. Take the video and cut it to a four to ten second clip with windows movie maker or any program you may have, save the files as avi file. The open Photoshop Cs3 and then open your new avi file. Go to the Window then Animation and press play to see how the video would play as the GIF Once your satisfied you can go to file then save for web and devices, let it load and then press play to see it one more time. You will notice it only plays one time so what you have to do is go to the Looping options and switch to forever. The save it. That's all.

Wow thanks guys for the links of the tutorials and of course pogi253 for the advice. I would like to make one without using Photoshop but if I can not find any other way then maybe I'll just install photoshop and try to make one. Again thanks for the information.

I haven't tried creating animated gif from video clip. However, I know this is possible since a video is compose of still images and a simple software such as windows movie maker can catch a screen video picture of your like. Photoshop also has ds capability but you have to check first the video format acceptable to photoshop if you wanted to work directly in photoshop. But if I were you, i will just use the windows movie maker first then open your the captured pictures and turn it into animated gif.
