how do you choose your firends?

what criterias do you use when you choose your friends? what makes you consider someone your friends?
-many times we make mistakes in what concernes choosing friends...this thing happened to me often. that's why I learned from my mistakes and I try to be little careful when I choose my friends.what about you ? did this happen to you too..I mean to get disappointed by people whom you considered your friends?

Friendship, I think, is something which is above all criteria. But what is true is that while choosing anybody as a friend you should first see whether you have the same mentality or temperament, whether the thought level is at the same height or not and above all whether he or she is honest or not because honesty plays a vital role in the lasting of a friendship.

I have friends that i see alot,friends that i see only once in a while and friends that i chat to on the phone and then meet up with.I have learnt over the years that no matter how long you have known a friend,you should never trust them.I only tell people what i want them to hear as i know alot of them are the kind of people that talk about people and peoples lives when ever they get the chance,where as some people would be better off looking at their own life.
