I have just learned a very interesting theory that bonuses actually have conter-productive effects on creative work, because bonuses will narrow people's mind. What do you know about motivation?

Well, I think bonuses thus encourage people in their line of work. I think it is of human nature to work more when there is something that he will get out of it. For sure the bonus will certainly be a good motivation for people to be more productive in their line of work.

Bonus is a reward to people and this is something that most of us looks forward to. In spite global hardship, if the company still is doing good, I think that they should share their blessings not only to the stock or shareholders but also to their partners who made the success possible: the employees. I'm sure the owner cannot achieve the success on their own. They need leverage themselves by hiring people to assist them with their goals. Without employees, companies - big or small, will have difficulty succeeding on the owner's two bare hands.

Hello,
I definitely think so. Bonus is a new form of age old practice of reward and punishment. In modern workplace you rebuke your employees for neglecting their duties and give them bonus for doing their job perfectly. Bonus will create a lot of enthusiasm among workers. They will eventually associate contribution with the reward and the overall work environment will improve. Thanks.
God bless you.

Yes, I think most bonuses will have a positive effect on the effectivity of the staff. But I suppose there are a few exceptions as well, as there are with most things. I have worked and still work in a place where I get bonuses, and it does motivate me, I can tell you that much!

I think bonuses increase productivity but then I am no expert. Where I was working once we had bonuses when we sold old inventory and I did pretty good to make the extra money. I always liked to get bonuses and worked to get them.

Yes definitely. Not only bonuses can motivate people to work hard for their targets but the incentives that you give them monthly. Bonuses are really stipulated in the law that at the end of the year, the amount of what you are having per month or your basic salary is your bonus at the end of the end of the year. aside from that if your company really relies on punctuality or attendance then a perfect attendance per month should really be given a recognition if not an incentive. this is really a good motivation for all employees to do good with their work or jobs.
