Fabric Softener

A long time ago I had received a sample of Snuggle liquid fabric softener. I loved the smell of the clothes after washing the clothes in this fabric softener. So I started buying this fabric softener on a regular basis. I got lazy and put the fabric softener in the wash in the beginning. You are suppose to wait until the rinse cycle I think. So now I am trying to use the fabric softener at the right time. My washer does not have a signal for when you put the fabric softener in. Our washer does have a signal for when the washer is done though. So I try to catch the right time to put the fabric softener in but I occasionally miss the right time and it aggravates me.
Do you use fabric softener?
Liquid or dryer sheets?

I have the same problem. I love using fabric softener, it does make everything soft and smell nice. But I often forget to put the liquid stuff in at the right time. So I usually use the fabric softener sheets in the dryer. I also bought some of those sheets that have the detergent on them and then you take it out with the clothes and put it in the dryer and then it is a fabric softener sheet. That works really nicely.

I have never used the sheets that have the detergent on them. I saw the bounce dryer bar on a commercial once but I don't know if I would like it. Sometimes I wait in the kitchen if I am eating or feel like being in there. So this way when the rinse cycle hits I get up and put the liquid fabric softener in the washer. Although it seems as if I am not in the kitchen or laundry room then I will usually miss the rinse cycle. If I miss the rinse cycle then I just don't use the liquid and only the dryer sheets. It would use more detergent, more electricity if I ran the washer again. Plus that seems like more work. So I never do that!

My washer automatically adds fabric softener for me (but I have to fill it up every time). When I'm drying, I'll throw in a few of those dryer sheets, too, though. Just out of habit, really. That's how my mother did it and now it's how I do it =/

Even though I use liquid fabric softener, I also use dryer sheets. My washer does add it but it is not at the right time. Even though I know the washer adds the fabric softener it does not work as good as if I put it in at the right time. The clothes or bed clothes do not smell as good if I put the fabric softener in the beginning of the wash cycle.

Hi, 02bnocn. You know, I have missed the rinsing cycle to add the fabric softener in too. You are not the only one that has experienced this. I try my best to add the fabric softener as quickly as I can, but I sometimes the miss the right time to add it. I just think that it would be so much more easier to just add it to the clothes while it is washing and not only rinsing. I don't use fabric softener anymore, but I used to use it. Hopefully when we get a washing machine someday, I can go back to using fabric softener because it makes my clothes smell so good! I also have used dryer sheets too.

I always use fabric soften in my washing, as it makes the clothes really soft as well as they smell really fresh for longer using it.There are some fabric softners that make my skin itch, but i will say that i tend to stick with a type, so i know that it will not make me itch.
