I Hate Student Loan.

Hello Everyone, I am from Canada, and like most North Americans, I have to pay to go to University. Now I have to mention that I am in my 30s and I want to change careers. I already have Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama. After that I worked for a little while, got back to school to get an Administrative Assistant Diploma, worked a little bite more and now I am going back to school full time to go into Broadcasting. Now, I have never had any problems with Student Loan until now. I had my dad pay for my tuition for the Fall semester because the Student Loan that I am dealing with wants to constantly delay me getting the payment. The reason for the delay is miscommunication between Student Loan and a Provincial Office. Student Loan wants me to go to a Provincial Office to get a Letter of Recommendation for Student Funding. However, the Career and Employment Consultant mentioned that he is not a Career Counsellor as the letter from Student Funding mentions. I called Student Loan and they said that I need to get someone from the Provincial Office to get authorization from their Supervisor to write a letter. That's where the miscommunication comes from. I've already phoned, emailed, and faxed Student Loan. I've even called the Consultant and emailed him too. I'm tired of both departments having me go through this merry-go-round. I am wondering if there are others out there with Student Loan horror stories.

If you go to yahoo daily articles, you might find millions of horrible story in regarding student loans. Some students recently graduated might strap huge debt of student loan, and they can't even make enough to pay those loan back. Would a student loan worth all your 4 years education like that?

Oh dear do I know this feeling, after 4 years of going back and forth between the financial office and the administration office and ending with $140k loans, Lordy do I know what exactly you are going through. It was always one more thing or one more missing paper that although it was sent to them they always neglect and say they didn't get. Ugh. Keep you head up and remember your goal as the years whether we want them or not will go by so after completing your goal the r Result should be better for you. Pray and hope for the end to be soon. Good Luck to you!

I know what you mean, student loans are a real drag and you end up paying for them many years after you graduate. They suck your income away and the amount of interest that you pay for them is outrageous.I have around 10k in student debt and 5k in credit card debt on several credit cards.I am still in college and when i get out this amount will be even higher with interest and more added expenses.I am trying to pay it off but with just a few part time shifts on the weekend it is a real trouble paying them back more than minimum payments.
