Laptop, Nettop, Notebook or Netbook?

What are the differences among the four computers? What would you prefer buying?
A Laptop, an intel atom Nettop, a 14inch notebook or a 8.9 inch netbook?

I don`t know what a Nettop is , I haven`t used one since now . Performance is different , as well as size . I would prefer buying a laptop , it serves more purposes although the battery life is shorter . The brand also make's a difference in all of the above .
