Cell phone is prone to accidents. Every cell phone user had faced some or other trouble with his cell phone. He must have dropped it on the floor, spill water on it, accidently got it scratched, etc...
I am posting some tips by which may help you to fix your mobile phone all on your own.
IF YOU GOT ANY TIPS OR PORBLEMS ON CELL PHONE USAGE, YOU ARE WELCOME TO POST YOUR'S IN MY DISCUSSION.
Problem 1. Scratches on the cell phone body.
Solution:- Use a fine sandpaper and rub it slightly over the scratched area (Though it will affect the shiny coating of your cell), but it looks neat.
Problem 2. Dropped you phone in the water.
Solution:- Remove the battery cover, Try to dry it up with a hair dryer. If you don't have a dryer, put it in a plastic bag of dry rice.
You can also put the bag out in the sun for quick evaporation (Make sure its not kept for long hours - it may damage the chip)
Problem 3. Scratches on the mobile screen.
Solution:- Apply metal polish with a soft cloth, there are also special gels and liquids available in the market.
Problem 4. Trackball on the Smartphone is hard to scroll.
Solution:- Dust and dirt must have collected on the trackball, Just soak the fine cloth in alcohol an rub it over and around the trackball. The other way you can pop out the trackball and clean it with a soft cloth.
Problem 5. Phone often hangs.
Solution:- Remove the battery and reboot it, then connect it to your computer to restore it.
YOUR SUGGESTIONS/INPUTS ARE WELCOME.
Happy mylotting,
Jack. ;-)

I think using a sandpaper will cause more scratches as opposed to remove it. It can even remove the paint/coating unevenly so the end result would be ugly. I prefer using a DVD/CD scratch remover instead. They are great for removing scratches on plastic surfaces.

Yes sup3rdud3, DVD/CD scratch remover will also work.
I already mention that, there are many gels available in the market for removing the scratch, but you need to buy them to get it. Sand paper is a handy tool for removing the small scratches.

I would like to add solution to problem number 5.
Solution: If possible, please upgrade your firmware to the latest version. It may erase data on your phone memory, so back it up to your memory card, and upgrade the firmware (every model has its own way to update).

Thanks Ramaditya for your suggestion.
But one should be careful before upgrading the firmware. If anything goes wrong, one may lose the data (no problem if you have taken a backup) as well as one can damage the phone.
