I am planning to undergo LASIK procedure because of my very high eye grade which is -15.00 on both eyes but my problem is its high cost.
Right now I am wearing contact lenses and it its irritating my eyes now for the last 7 years and I can't go back wearing eyeglasses because of the lenses being to thick even if the lenses are 1.74 which is the latest lens that are thin here in our country (I don't know of any current technology on lenses so the 1.74 lens is all I know which boast of thin lenses).
Has anyone undergone such procedure or do you know someone who has? What are your experiences?

LASIK or refractive eye surgery is only a fifteen 15minutes surgery per eye. If you had the surgery today, tomorrow you can go back to your normal daily routine. Its better for you to have a check-up first with an ophthalmologist and he can recommend you what's the better surgery for your condition. You will undergo first a refractive screening. I know a good clinic and doctor who do this procedure.
