Family phrase of the week...

So we went to see a movie with the kids on Saturday, "Legends of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'hool". There was a part where our young hero and his friends are headed toward the sea in search of the Guardians. And when they reach the coast, there is an echidna (spiny anteater) all painted in tribal patterns, mostly with blue. So anyway they tell him that they are seeking the Guardians. "It was foretold", says he. And everything that comes out of their mouths, "it was foretold". And when he asks them a question, one of them says, "if it was foretold, why do you have to ask?" "It was foretold that there would be a doubter."
So we get out of the movie, and I tell everybody, "I see a restroom in my future."
"It was foretold", says Dearra.

You may not have had two newborns at the same time, but three in three years sounds like just as much work even so....

It was foretold that you would start a discussion on this...
(answering from email, so somebody's probably already said it... it was foretold)

I think that is one of the reasons that I really like doing things with my family. We all get enjoyment out of the things that we do together and we are able to establish our own inside jokes. I remember when I was younger we went to King's Island and as a special treat my parents decided to stay in a hotel room over night instead of going back to my grandma's house. My little sister was about three years old at the time and as we were walking through the room she says, with amazement, "It even has a bathroom." That was about 23 years ago, but we still laugh and joke about it now.

Lol! It is good to have something that can make everyone laugh and remember a movie. It helps take the mind off of daily troubles.

I love family sayings. They can be soooooooo confusing to other people. We end up with several generations of family sayings. It is a secret code. It was foretold that I would have children who like to play with their words.

In my case it was inevitable and very easy to foretell!

"As you wish" became an oft repeated phrase after Princess Bride and I am sure there were many others. "Play it again"?

LOL. It's nice that you have a family bonding and is very close. To share good laughs like that.
I'd like to watch that movie too. My cousin says it's better to watch it in theaters than being downloaded.

Haha! Great phrase dawn!
It was also already foretold in our family...
...that we watch this movie this weekend.
I've always classified movies as 'theater-movie' and dvd-movie-only'. This owl movie never struck me as a theater-movie, but since it was already foretold, I hope I'm wrong.
