Student life in US is really stressful. Every week tests and other assignments. Personally I have test anxiety, so for me its really hard as we have atleast 2 tests every week and tons of other assignments. I wonder sometime what does other people do to get relief from this kind of stress. There are not much time to do something for relaxing. I just hope it gets over soon.
What do you do to get out of your study stress? Do you have test every week?
If you are not a student now also please share with me what did you do when you were a student?

Hi Sweetlady10,
I am no longer a student now but when I was one, we had some work load. But I never was stressed as a result.I used to go through my books and be familiar with the contents of the chapters. Then-I had no fear of tests.
I do not know the present situation cos we are generations apart but I'll tell you something. Education is just not all about getting "A"'s in all tests. It is meant to teach you how to be an ideal citizen of the society and the difference between what is wrong and what is right.
It is meant to give you an idea of life which you will face and prepare you to cope with it.So-do away with the stress and see your studies as something which you need to know to go to level 2 of a computer game. It should work that way!

I totally agree that getting "A" does not make a good citizen or good person. But we need to do good on our studies because of the competition in real life. I don't get stressed because I need to study, but I get stressed because we need to go after tests all the time.

you should make a time table for your study and give about 1 hour in afternoon for refreshment like play cricket, or go outside with friends.

I also think it is very important to take break and get refresh, otherwise anything gets stressful and boring too. I don't play cricket, but I can surely do any activity for refreshment.

The best way to relax is to find some type of exercise program or try to get a massage at least once a month. Bubble bath with candles will help you relax too.

As a student you need to relax in order to do well in studies. From personal experience of graduate studies I can easily relate to your feelings of being overwhelmed by anxieties and tension. But now you have a good way out of stress.
It is called brainwave technology. It involves listening to the brainwave entrainment audios that directly affect your brainwave frequencies and can relax you almost effortlessly within half hour. This is audio technology helping you relax. You can find out about this wonderful way to relax by reading here:
