When online earnings replace regular job earnings...

I realize some here make their living online. Many of us however are not quite there yet. For those not quite there yet how will you choose to live when that day comes. Will you choose to travel more because you can take your work with you or will you choose simply to stay home and make more money? Myself I would kinda like to live on a nice houseboat. I could then write and work in a new location everyday if I wanted or I could stay put for however long I wanted before moving on.Just imagine the beautiful morning views that be waiting for me each day.

If the day were to come that I was able to supplement enough money to make a second income I would save as much of it as I could and my husband and I would use it to rent our own place. As it is right now I don't make that much so any money I do make is simply added to the bank and used when needed. We are trying to save more and thus I am trying to earn more online. By saving more we will be able to move out faster. I am trying to find a job, but admittedly I am being quite lazy about it because I am scared to get back out there in the job market.
If I were to be able to save enough to take a nice vacation, we would do this as well.

I appreciate your swift response back. Welcome to mylot by the way. I hope you get all your heart desires as well, the houseboat does sound nice but I'd be afraid of seasickness myself!

To start, I'd love to sleep 12 hours a day to compensate for the years when I've underslept because of work.

My current sleep hours are also around 5-6 hours per day. And I feel my body is taking the toll of little rest. =(

I don't know if I could sleep 12 hours but I only get 5 and a half hours now so I would definately like to sleep a little more too.

internet is one of the in-demand things that we all need. I like the idea of taking your work anywhere, you don't have a boos of your own. For me, I prefer two of them. I want to work on a company where I can do computer trouble shooting and make money online. When the time comes that I can't be able to use the internet, i go to my office and work. If can't go to work for some reason, I can stay at home still make money.

Taking our work where ever we want seems to be the most popular answer. I think most of us don't mind earning a living we just don't like the tied down feeling we get from our jobs. Thank you very much for your comment.

If that day come, I opt to add variety and spices to my life. I mean, at that time, I would be free to do any thing. Well, almost everything.
I don't have to go through a routine everyday, 5 days a week, 4 times a month and so on and so on. Well, you get the picture.
At times I feel like traveling, I would pack some clothing and a laptop and go traveling. While on the road, I could work online and updating my online stuff anywhere in this world.
When I get tired of traveling, I would stay at home and do my work in a room. I could even go naked while doing my online work.
Man, if this is not freedom, then what is? This is what makes online job so alluring and enticing and I wouldn't want to trade this job for anything else in this world.

If you are new to online earning, I welcome you aboard. Remember, persistent is the key to a successful online venture. Don't give up. Keep going and going. If you fall down, get up.
The more failures you have, the closer you will find yourself near the light at the end of the tunnel. Believe me, online earning is not easy contrary to what most people tell you. Yes, the opportunities are unlimited but so are the competition. You are competing with players from all over the world. So you need to have a tough mental attitude to overcome the enormous hurdles and obstacles.
Lastly, hope you have a fruitful journey in online earning.

I think I would work less, if that would be possible. Because I honestly think I work way too much these days. And also, I would probably travel a bit more. That would be awesome! But I am not there yet...

I agree on the travel and the working less. But the kind of working we are doing right now...well it isn't so bad. If I were say...on the beach under an umbrella I might not consider it working at all. Getting to talk to like minding people all with somewhat similar goals and maybe sipping on something cold with my toes in the sand, well that would be like a paid vacation for me. Hang in there...you'll make it. :)

I kinda like my job too most of the time but...it allows me very little freedom. So instead of whining about it like some of the guys I work with I plan on simply working my way out of it. Some times it's not easy to come home and work online or think of something to write after working 12 hours, but I feel like in the end it will all be worth it. I'm glad to hear you like your job and I wish for you much future success. :)

I wish I could earn enough money online that it would equal what I would get paid if I went to work outside the home. I'm a stay a home mom so finding anyway to make extra money would be good. I earn a little bit each day from things like mylot and inboxdollars and mypoints etc. It takes along time to add up. I did find a company that allows you to work at home but I got accepted through everything until I got to the phone interview part where you have to read a paragraph that they have for you. Apparently my voice wouldnt work for them because I couldnt work for them :(

My regular job before 2008 paid pretty well...now not so well. I may be able to equal online what I make at work within a year. You are very right about online earnings taking time to add up. Too many people jump on the internet thinking they are gonna be rich in only a few days or weeks, that's just not generally how it goes. I have a neo-bux ref link on my profile if you are interested. I like doing the neo-bux thing, my account is steadily growing and I'm kinda excited about it. Just a suggestion. You also seem like you write very well...Triond might be a good way for you to build yourself a nice residual income. Hey just keep looking for something that you enjoy doing and don't let one little setback get you down...it was there loss. Have a great day!

Well if ever my earnings online is sufficient enough maybe I'll travel to places I haven't visited yet. I'll enjoy but I'll enjoy in an active way. I mean even if I have the money I won't just sit and lie on my bed all day long. People have to be active in order to stay healthy. So, I'll still be active and work actively but it will be on fun activities like for example having a vacation. Haha.

I don't really have an actual paying job. At the moment I'm satisfied with firefighting (volunteer fire fighting for a volunteer department), but that isn't really a paid job. You do get paid money for going to the meetings and what not, but that's all I do. I make money online mainly for paying for things online. I don't have a credit card or anything so I have a paypal to order stuff like books from Barnes and Noble and other things that I am interested in. I do happen to have a plan for myself in the future as being a doctor and such, but working online for some extra cash is also decent.

OMG a firefighter and a future doctor...we need more people like you. Volunteer firefighter's never seem to get the credit they deserve so my hats off to you. Thank you very much for the job you do...we all appreciate it very much.

i would love the thought of making a living from home. but it can't be this hard. so many sites to particiapte in to earn money. a lot of hard work. i would rather go to work outside of home.
for instance if you could make a living from mylot. would you do it?
as for me, no. too much work lol. i literally rather go to work and have fun, eat, and work at the same time.

Unfortunately working from home is just what it sounds like...working. Even with the freedom it offers and the hours you can keep when you work for yourself it isn't for everyone. You sound like you have things under control...have fun and enjoy yourself.

I think anyone can if they can hang in there long enough. There are so many choices out there though it's sometimes very hard to decide which direction to go in. When you find something that works for you personally give it one hundred percent and never give up your dream...you'll be ok. Thank you for taking the time to comment...I never thought I would get this kind of response. I am very pleased.

If that happened to me I would be so happy lol. Sometimes I would travel and sometimes I would stay at home and watch movies. But it's just a dream for now. I'm just wondering if it will get boring and that I may want to return to my regular job because I get lonely or something. If I was good enough for me to even make enough online to quit my job I would be sooooo happy though :) I'd just keep studying along side it all ;)

My plan (though it seems I lack sufficient ambitions right now) when I am self sufficient through online income, is to start payment on property and live while traveling the country. So far I figure it will take about twenty-five thousand a year to do this correctly, not to mention the initial cost of the vehicle and supplies needed to live on the road. plus I don't yet have a driver's license. I have the goals figured out, but I have yet to find a way to make the needed income on my own...

I like your plan. Reason is I like to travel too. My traveling as of now is on my motorcycle with a couple of close friends of mine. So far we have rode all over Alabama,Tennesee,Mississippi and have been through parts of Georgia and North and South Carolina. I have also been on a canoe trip on the boundry waters between the U.S. and Canada. This is a truly beautiful country. You keep working at your goals, dreams only come true to those who don't quit. Have a great day!

I'd really like it if that were the case. But it isn't. I gave up my office job to be here for my kids. I now sell Avon and do some occasional independent contractor phone work for an online company. I don't make anywhere near what I was making. I would save it up for my kids to go to college, and for hubby and me to retire.

Those are very admirable goals. Have you tried article writing?...you seem like you could be a very good writer. It does not pay fast but it builds up a nice residual income over time that can be quite lucrative. Whatever you choose to do you seem like you have a kind heart and I wish you all the best. Have a great day!

I think there are many differences between online jobs and regular jobs. I think if it change into a regular job then it will be good for those persons who are really enjoying their online job. I think it will be good for them and they can earn more money.

Yes enjoying your online work is very important. Say for instance you are a writer...if you really like writing then you will approach your work with a good attitude each day and that in turn will help you to be more productive. I certainly wouldn't want to trade a job I didn't like for another I didn't like. Thanks for your comment...have a great day!

I've been working online for four years now. I can say that I really love my work coz I can be a boss of my own. I can work whenever I like. I can work wherever I go; as long as there's internet connection. Online jobs are much more profitable than offline work. Internet is a wide range of opportunity. ^^

lowellhenderson, your view or gesture on online earnings is genuine. But then the idea of stay at home and make more money does not really mean one must only make money only while staying at home. Your home is your computer and the internet conectivity. This is to say the convenience at which you discuss, browse, enter informations at ease and convenience means the likelihood of your staying at home. Your idea on living on a nice houseboat is as well reasonable, but first and foremost I would like to advise that one should first develop interest in writing and giving out perfect views, any other earnings come and random. You wouldn't know when and where these earnings are pouring in from. I have just started as well but my interest is not on earnings. First may God give me the wisdom and strength to writing on reasonable topics at all times before any other thing.

I appreciate your comment and your advice very much. Writing is a wonderful way to express our feelings, get our point across, teach and so much more...but it is not always easy. To be a good writer one must practice. Write every chance we get, learn to write about different topics...not just the ones we like and to always strive to get better. My goal is to be my own boss within two years. The freedom that comes with that I think will keep me pretty motivated. Thank you once again and good luck to you as well.
