Paypal is definitely secure and a trusted site. I've done business with them for years, ever since I used ebay. You do not need to go to a bank. Just go to Paypal.com and go from there to register. You will not go to the wrong site unless you type it in wrong. Just make sure never to give out your password, bank account information, or credit card information to anyone even if they are claiming to be Paypal because they will never ask you for your user information. You do not need to register a bank account with Paypal. You can just register a credit card for the time being. I currently keep a lot of money in Paypal and am not worried about its safety.

I have been using it to receive pay from some of my online job. It's pretty safe as long you keep your password a secret.

Nothing can be 100% safe in this world. But I still think Paypal is very reliable. It is one of the most popular and famous paying methods. Everyday it has so many transactions. Many websites support Paypal. It is very easy to have a Paypal account. Just go to its website and you can easily sign up one. It is as easy as you sign up an email account. You don't have to provide your credit card information to verify your Paypal account. It is not necessary. Even if your Paypal account is not verified, you can still send and receive money from Paypal. The verified Paypal account is just useful for the online sellers.
I love China

Yeah, Paypal is accepted pretty much everywhere :) Online everyone uses it too, the only online payment processor 2nd to it I think would be Alertpay, and some others are Liberty Reserve, etc. Your only option for online money making really is Paypal most of the time, and though it can be a bad thing, at least you can also pay for pretty much everything with Paypal. It's not too bad. I would recommend it.

SOrry, in my other response I didn't answer your questions.
1. You just open an account for free online at Paypal.com. Use your real details though if you want to use a credit card at all.
2. You don't need to go to your local bank for anything, unless possibly if you have a problem to do with Paypal and your credit card being rejected or something for some reason, but most likely you don't.
3. You can trust Paypal, it is very secure and it is the main online payment processor, it's the most widely used one in the world. You just create an account at Paypal.com, don't signup for Paypal anywhere else and you'll be fine once you have your account :)
4. You don't need a local account to register it with Paypal. You can register your card with Payp[al if you want to, but you don't have to. To register your card you would just enter your details into the site, you wouldn't need to do anything with your local bank. I think you may be able to also add your bank account to Paypal and that would probably require you to atleats phone your local bank, but I'm not sure about that.
Hopefully that helps you :) If you have any other questions though please just reply to my response and I'll try to answer anything else as best I can :)

It's very secure yeah, but if you aren't able to provide paypal with proof of your ID (passport photo), etc. then I wouldn't use it at all when dealing with a lot of money and a credit card. They will lock your account if there are pretty much any problems at all, such as having a dispute against you or just transferring around $100 or more around, as they'll be suspicious. Just for being suspicious, they will still ask for your passport, etc. and if you can't provide it, say goodbye to your money :/
It is the most widely used online currency site though, and as long as you don't keep large amounts of money inside it at any one time, it's pretty much fine to use. I've used it with the credit card many times before, and have even withdrawn money into my credit card bank account and it has been smooth and easy.

I have been a PayPal user for a couple of months and like any other internet payment processor. PayPal has its own pros and cons. If you are a buyer, you do not have to enter your credit card details every time you make a purchase via PayPal. If you are a seller, you do not have to be approved for a merchant account before using PayPal. In general, you are safe with PayPal.

So far I didn't have yet any problem with paypal, so I'm sure it is safe and secure. Paypal is use by thousands of online businesses worldwide. You have to open an account with paypal if you are serious in dealing online business hence it is commonly use. Other program site will not accept you if you don't have a paypal account.
