Last night, my sister was preparing for her report today. It was all about artificial insimination. I have learned that there are two types of AI. These are AI by Husband(AIH) and AI by Donor (AID). Basically there are two ways to practice these, one is by placing the sperm of the husband or of the donor in the reproductive tract of the woman. The other one is In vitro fertilization (IVF) where the female's egg cells are fertilized in the laboratory. When the sperms previously extracted from the husband or from the donor, combined with the egg cells then it would become embryo. That embryo will be transferred to the woman's uterus.
While we were discussing with my sister, my other sister interrupted us and asked if these things are moral specially the IVF thing. Her reason was, the procedure was like experenting life. It was like risking a life. So, I was'nt able to answer right away because I myself was confused. I just told her that since it's legal then I guess this is moral and in the bible, procreation is part of married couples. Besides, this would help the couples to have their own child. They will be given a chance to have their own family. So, what can you say, is it moral or immoral?

I think that it is lovely that some ladies get pregnant and have a baby. However it is sad for a lady that tries for years to get pregnant and it doesn't happen for her. Therefore I think it is moral for her to have in vitro fertilization. She could be successful and have a baby through that method. Sadly that method doesn't work in every case. Some ladies fail a few times and are then successful in it working for them. I believe that artificial insimination is morally right. It would be a way a lady could get pregnant. She could use her husband or a donor. I think both ways are morally right. It is abortion that I think is morally wrong.

Well yeah, this is rather a difficult topic to discuss! i would think that as what you said it is not illegal, and well it has both the persons involved consent. then it should not be imoral. besides it is when you "try" to have your own child when your body won't allow it anymore... i guess there is nothing wrong with it.
