Can you sell to make extra cash?

I have been selling Avon for well over year. I don't think I could do it full time, or make a better living at it. The money I currently make is just for extra pocket cash. I know folks sell candles, AVON, Mary Kay, etc., etc. Are you good at it? Or do you avoid selling like a plague?

I sell handmade sea glass jewelry on and off line. It isn't my full-time job (and I don't make enough to pay all of my bills) but the extra money does help, and there are months that I make a decent amount of sales. I'd love for it to turn into a full-time job, but I just don't see that happening (unless I hit the lottery...a girl can always dream )

I use to sell mary kay but I decided that it took too much work. My mom used to sell avon and in my opinion avon is a better company. I am good at selling things but Im not sure I was that good at selling makeup. I guess it depends on the product and where the proceeds are going. Right now I only sell my articles online and I still get to keep the copyright so I like that.

If any of you are open to making money without inventory, billing, collections, holding parties, etc, but can bring in residual money month after month... call me I'd like to show you what I do. I like to help real people earn real income. 425-329-9553 or nhia@homemail.com.

They always sound like a great way to make extra money, but to really make the big cash you have to do it full-time and put a lot of work into it. Avon, Mary Kay, Tupperware and any party-oriented product works best if A) you have a large base of friends, B) that same group of friends has money to spend and C) if you are an outgoing person who can market to strangers. Your first party or first month of sales may be great, but try to repeat that month after month and you'll find out it's harder than it looks. Most people don't buy repeatedly that often and even though the brands are well known, they are still rather pricey compared to what is available on store shelves. Anyway, I stay away from them. I tried Avon, I learned about Mary Kay and Amway, but all of those don't work unless you manage to get yourself at the top of the pyramid (because that is what they are although they don't call them that anymore- pyramid schemes) They work for a few, but don't work for the many. Quite frankly, my online writing has earned me way more than I ever did with Avon! Course, I didn't have a large group of friends to start out with.

I hate selling - always have. Even as a teen for band and other school fundraisers i hated doing it.
