This is probably not what you want to hear at all, but my daughter is going to be eight years old in less than two months and in the nearly eight years that I've been a parent, I feel like life has never had the opportunity to slow down for me. I find that every day is very similar to the previous day, but I also feel like every day has a new adventure to be had. So, life probably won't slow down for you, but you will find a new routine.

Hi,
Congratulation being a new parent.
I believe life has been changing since you guys have become a parent.
No more free time on your own and I guess you have to spend more
time with your child.
However, I wish you will enjoy your parenthood.
From my experience, after the arrival of my son, my life is totally
change. I can be that free to do my own things and most of
my time is spent for my son as he needs my attention all the time.
I have to tag him along whenever I go out.I just feel that my daily
routine is totally change, I have to wakeup early and during midnight, I have
sleepless night because my son was wake up for midnight feeding when he
was young.
As time pastby and he has grown up, no longer midnight feeding is required and
I can sleep soundly throughout the night. I can have more free time once I
have sent him to half day nursery. At least in the morning, my time
is occupied by my own things.
Slowly as my son grow up, I have to adapt my life to new schedule and
overall, I enjoy my motherhood life.

I have a three year old kid. When he was still small, the time of his sleep changes every three months. I think there are new things that is happening everyday when he was small. Step by step he was able to learn new things on his own. I love being a mom. I learn things from him too.

Sorry to say, but your life will not slow down. I didn't spend much time with my son when he was still small as I was working far from home. My son and my wife stay with me just recently. I found it is challenging.
My son now is 21 months old. So far it never slow down. By the time it slow down you will be worried. My son just recover from vommiting and dirhea and so was my wife. You will get worried big time when seing your child so weak.
So from this experience, I rather have my son being naughty and healthy than having him just lie down, weak and sick.
Anyway, just enjoy your life as a parents. Your child just six months old. It will be more enjoyable if your child able to wlak, run, dance and play with you in the future.
