Gambling can be a fun activity if you are able to keep it limited and set a strict budget and only do it once a week or even a month.SOme people loose their house and car over gambling and it can totally destroy them for years to come.

No, I don't. I have been to a casino maybe 3 or 4 times in my entire life, and I never gambled for much then either.

Oh, I love going to the casino. Blackjack is my game of choice, though depending on who I go with I might go with video poker or (if I can find a machine) slingo. Anytime I go to a casino, it's an event that's been planned for a few weeks, and I've set aside a specific amount for the evenings gambling. I never spend more than the limit that I've set, in fact, I don't even bring in any means of getting more money. No checks, no debit card, no credit cards. Just the cash I intend to use that evening.

I don't really gamble at casinos. They are too high stakes for me. I've played Texas Hold 'Em and the most I've ever gambled per tournament is $20. I've only played about 5 games or so though. My brothers play poker for a lot more and more often. Maybe once I start making some actual money I'll play for more. I've played online too, but always lost there. I feel like hands are rigged to make you lose money because you'll have a really good hand but someone else will have the nuts. My mother is a compulsive gambler and has gambled her IRA completely away. She is also $25,000 in credit card debt. She used to play the $20 slots and just gamble hundreds maybe thousands at a time. She won big in the beginning and that's what hooked her. Now she spends $1000 to $2000 a month on lotto tickets. It's really frustrating because she's supposed to be paying for my college education, but instead I have to take out a bunch of loans. Maybe this is why I don't really gamble. That and I like my money. Instead I just enter sweepstakes online, which have about the same chances as lotto and which are free. Haven't won anything yet!

I dont go very often but when i do i try to limit myself based on how much ill be able to lose and still do fine without it, and i only take that with my to the casino. I also try to make myself that even when im winning alot that once i reach a certain amount, then i will just stop that way i can walk away with good money even if its not a whole lot. I find it easier this way so i dont get too caught up in it, and i wont lose too much if im not doing well.
