I have been working for the last 9 years..and I don't know for how long will I still work. Maybe, till I reach retirement? I really don't know. Maybe when we've paid our housing loan, spend for a car, put my son to college , start a little business. Maybe, I can stop working in a company. Maybe. Do you intend to work till you retire or you have other else in mind to do?

Hi sweet_pea I've been working for twelve years now. I still haven't plan for my retirement. It may be a little early for that but I am looking forward for an early retirement. Maybe for now, I will have to maximize my earnings, make a few investments so that I can reap them when the right time comes. This means I will work and save now. I have to make sure that I am financially stable while I am still earning and somehow make sure that I have a good pension for my retirement. I would rather say -"Work wisely now and enjoy the blessings while we have time. Prepare for tomorrow but don't sacrifice the present because we will never pass this way again." We can never tell what awaits us in the future, but I do hope I will live a comfortable and happy life when I retire. Just like what my mother used to say to us, live your life well so you can have a bright and better future. :D Good luck in all your endeavors and may all your efforts give you successful returns. Have a good day and happy myLotting! :D

That's cool. I also make it sure to go to a new place-one that I've never been to every year. :D And it sure does widen our horizons. Good luck to us!

Hi emgee! I think we have the same outlook. While we still can, work hard prepare for the future but still enjoy life. I make it a point to travel at least once in a year. Find new places to explore in my country. It's my treat to myself for working so hard for a year. I think it is but wise to prepare for our retirement, because we don't want to work forever. It is wise to invest, as we don't want our money to just sit in the bank. Let our money work for us. Thanks for sharing and I hope you success in the future. Have a nice day!

For over 10 years. Wow, that is a really long time if you think about it! And for all this time, I have been working for others. My dream is to start my own business, so I can work, but not for others anymore. Hopefully I will be able to do that soon!

I worked for almost 12 years since I graduated in college. At present, I am stay home mom with an online job. I decided to stop working because I am having a hard time to manage my time. Taking care of my son and my office work. Although, I had a nanny during those times but I am not comfortable then leave my son with her alone at home. So, I have to called them almost every hour. I also tried to put my son in daycare at his young age of 6 months up to 2 yrs old, since daycare were beside my office building. But then, I also give up because of everyday expenses.

When I was 12 I started babysitting after school and weekends. Before that I had a taste of work, doing paper routes, selling doughnuts,Christmas cards and making as selling pot holders. As well as walking dogs for neighbors. At the age of 14 I started my first real job at an ice cream store, followed by restaurant work and cashier work. Then I started the most important, busy and lifelong job that there is,a mother.I have three children. Two are "supposably" adults and one is a teenager.During the time when they were growing up I worked in many places as a waitress, teachers aide, babysitting and offices. Now I am searching for a work at home job, even thou I still have the job as a mother, that lasts forever,it does not matter how old they get to be.My husband is deceased and so that job does not pay. Therefore,I will be doing some sort of work all my live.

I've been working for almost 10yrs, been changing jobs as there's a demand in change of financial needs. Some one said before, the higher the qualification the more money you earn. I think that's bull s***, the more we earn the more we spend. We work not enjoy the luxury of life with lots of money, we earn just to pay offs our bills and lots of bills. And also kids allowance and such things that needs money, and in the end there's not even a single cent left for us..... You let others pity you?? I don't think so, the rich just cares for the luxury of their lives they just don't had the time to care bout you. Maybe not they don't even knew the existance of poor people.

I have been working for 4 years now. It is not that long actually. But I really want to stop working by the time I have kids. My target age to stop working is in my mid-30s. If only I can get rich quickly so that I can retire earlier. Of course, I will not retire when I don't think my money is enough to sustain my lifestyle and also my future. I plan to have my own business one day, hopefully also in my mid-30s.

I'm an architect and I've been working for 5 years now. Right now, I am homebase. I only accept designing projects. For a start, my income is really really low compared to what I earned from the last company I worked in. But I'd rather do this than go back to corporate world, because I am my boss. Plus I can manage my time with my work, home, and my husband. I have other things too in mind that I'd like to do (income generating that is) aside of being an architect. I planned that the profit that I earned from designing, I'll use it to invest in another business. I'm thinking of buy and sell of clothes and shoes and have it post to popular social networks. And if that works, the profit that I earned from that will go to another investment, I'm thinking of buying a condominium unit, redesign it and have it rent. And if that will work, I will invest to another business, so on and so forth. Well for now, those are just plans.. But if my small step in career will be realize, those probably I will do...
