swimming while in raining

I was a swim instructor before for a well-known swim school here in the Philippines before and I've had plenty of times when I'd swim in the rain, whether it was during break or we had students. The general rule though was not to swim when we heard thunders and saw lightnings. Doing so would risk the safety of the children since if lightning strikes the water, everybody in it gets electrocuted. I'd have to say that I guess for ordinary swimmers as well, whether an athlete or not should keep out of the water when they see lightning. You wouldn't want to put your life in danger now, do you? I hope not. :D I love swimming in the rain as well because I get a sene of freedom and life. especially when I go underwater and I hear the drops just gently fall on the surface of the water. It's such an amazing feeling. It relaxes me. :D The cold water doesn't bother me because I'm used to cold water even in taking a bath. I guess water is just my home away from home. :p

i have treid swimming both in pool and in beach when it was raining. it was amazing!! :D love the feel of the rain in my face haha and you'll enjoy it very much!!

what makes me laugh are the people who dont like swimming in the rain (of course if there is thunder and lightening, that is a different story.) but by swimming, you are getting wet anyways!

Hi. zmluckyseven. No. I have never swam when it was raining. I don't want to take this chance to. If I ever do this, you best believe that I will have a cold by the time that the day is over with.

Well I did not try this intentionally , once when I was swimming , rain poured hard , and I chose to continue swimming..well I must say that I had fun with my friends that day ...it was damn cold water ..!!

Yes, I have gone swimming while it was raining. It was kind of nice and enjoyable. At least, I have found that it was. In the end, it doesn't really matter that much, since if we're already swimming, we're wet anyway. It was fun.

Some people find it exhilarating to swim in the rain. Why not? you are already going to be wet. just take care that it is not storming as well.

When I a kid, I often do swim while raining but in the river not pool. It's fun, yeah

this is one of my addict when i was kid, not in the pool , just a little deep pudle that appears cause the rain. Believe me, it's fun (because i'm just a kid). Or u can try playing football in the rain , it's fun too. But nowdays, i never do that 'addict' again, i aint got friend to do it.
