I think above all we are strong individualists. We want as few rules as possible governing our lives. We are also very very optimistic, and we think that if we work hard, we can achieve anything. On the othernegative side, I think we are extremely materialistic. The measure of success for most here is money. I know that we are concerned with "things".. the bigger the better.
I'm individualist but I hope I'm less mnaterialistic than many of my friends seems to be

I think as I have gotten older I have become realistic, whereas balancing what is necessary versus when I was a bit younger wanting unnecessary materialistic items.
I suppose it has to do with years of wisdom, but I agree with you though a great many of my acquaintances truly are suffering financially but won't give up on all the materialistic passions.

I think we have within us aspect of being materialistic. As human beings we tend to appreciate and achieve satisfaction or happiness with material things. We get so attached with things like our phones, Laptops, and others because these are things that we want or enjoy. But we should remember that this is not the only thing important about life. There are much greater than material things. As we mature, we learn and value more those treasured moments and loved ones other than things.
