Uniform or Non-uniform at Work?

For working people, of course, our time to work is usually longer than we stay at home. For me, I want to be comfortable while I'm at work, and one thing that makes me comfortable is clothing. There is usually a dress code in most office. Before we have a uniform which is blouse & skirt. For one thing, having a uniform is fine, not only economical but also it is not a problem anymore in choosing what to wear. But skirt is somehow a problem especially for commuters. So request granted, uniform has been removed in the office, but we have to wear a decent and semiformal clothes. Problem again for us, for we have to think what to wear the next day and so on. As a working person, would you prefer to have a uniform or just a choice of yours. Care to share your opinion on this?

Thanks meme for responding on this post. I agree with you for economical reason But probably depends on the type/design of the uniform. But to ease the problem of thinking appropriate dress to wear, uniform is the best preference.

I have to wear a uniform at work but they are very comfortable. I do get tired of wearing the same thing everyday but at the same time it makes everyone look united. It also saves the clothes that I buy from being ruined..lol. The comapny provides us uniforms every year so I don't have a problem with it. They also provide us with our shoes. It actually makes it a bit easier because you never have to wonder what you are going to wear.

In my company, we have to wear very formal, but not uniform. I always think it's better to wear casual at work, so it's more comfortable when we are working. Uniform is good for me, as you said we don't need to think about what to wear and also it saves us money on buying many working attire. I've seen many companies that the staff are wearing uniform, usually they will wear pants, instead of skirts. As everyone knows, skirt is not that convenient sometimes. Or, some provide both pants and skirts. I have not joined a company that provides us uniform before, I'd prefer to wear uniform.

hi kaka, I agree with you, there is a benefit having a company uniform. And if it is comfort that we want to have, it's not impossible by choosing the right type/design. In that case, we can still comply to the company's dress code, right? Thanks for sharing your views on this topic. Have a nice day.

I prefer to wearing a uniform, cause it reduce the gate between the rich and the poor. With uniform, every one will look so united. There are nothing different between the rich and the poor. In my country, each school and company use uniform and have their own identity of the school or the company.

This is a tough question. But I would have to say. . . Uniform. It's hard to choose an outfit everyday and it also makes you think of what your officemates would think like she's wearing that again or something like that. But I think it would be a good idea like there's a washday like in school. You can wear your choice of outfit for one day a week.

Thanks Mareeh for dropping by. yeah, mostly they preferred to have a uniform not only for economical reason but to lessen the agony of thinking what to wear everyday. For office if in case they required uniform, that could probably more than one set to have a choice and wash day of course. Have a nice day.

I agree having uniforms are most economical. But it restricts us into expressing ourselves through clothes. I don't really mid having a uniform but it has to be of good design and style.

Hi juryse, Just like others here, we have nothing against having a company uniform for economical purspose, but for as long as it would be comfortable for us. And yes, it just the design and style that matters. Thanks for responding here and have a good day.
