problem updating avira antivirus???

My fellow mylotters, I just changed my antivirus from using eset to avira this is because my eset crashes a lot lately and I got worried cause it might be because of some virus that lead my antivirus from failing. I downloaded avira since it was claimed as being one of the best antiviruses out there. After having the license key and installing it, I immediately updated it since of course we all wanted our antivirus to be updated right? lol. Then after dloading the system components it shows an error message that it cant be updated. Whats wrong with it? How do you fix this kind of error? :( Please help me, I'm in desperate crisis. Im just afraid that this might get worse if not fixed right away. Hope you guys can help me out here!

I suggest you shift to avast antivirus.. Its the most powerful antivirus for me it wont affect the speed of your computer even when scanning, it's also aggressive to all known kind of viruses and most of all it's free.

avast wont slowdown your computer if you don't want that pop up's turn the notification off and the antivirus automatically delete the threats.
if you don't install antivirus your computer is at risk all the time.. it will slow down your computer or even worst it will crushed.
If you really don't want that kind of protection try deepfreeze it is vulnerable for all kinds of attack.

nope I didnt bought it. It was just a trial license. It'll end after 3mts. Do you think thats the cause of it?

Yes this same problem also I face with my computer. Because when I was installed Avira on my computer then I try to update it. And then it shows me a error message that it can't be updated due to some error on Avira. Then I try to update it by manual. I had downloaded a definition file of Avira from Internet and then I try to update it. Then I successfully updated. But now I had uninstalled this software because now I am using Avast full version antivirus. And it is valid till August 2012. And it gives to my systems full protection against many dangerous viruses. And you can also download this antivirus professional version from this site. www.rapid.pk
