A few days ago I went in to my room and I found a pool of blood on the floor as well as blood stains all over my bed. There was saliva in the blood and it was very fresh. I found my cat (small spayed female of about 4 years), lying in my closet. She had blood on her paws and she would not leave that spot until the next morning. She hasn't been eating much and often she just lies down and doesn't get up for a long time which I am not used to. She doesn't even meow anymore.
She was a very loud cat. My parents say she's fine and won't let me take her to the vets. She hasn't puked since and recently she has been getting slightly better. What do you think?
I know that a cat puking up blood; anything puking up blood isn't a good thing indeed.

i personally would take the cat to the vet,i tend to treat my cats myself,i clean up their cuts and pamper them if they are ill,but if i was in your situation i would take my cat to get checked out,as sicking up blood is not good

Are you sure she's not coughing up blood . . . that could be a sign of a respiratory infection. No matter what the cause is, your cat needs to go to the vet as soon as possible. Hopefully, all she needs is a good round of antibiotics.
Good luck!

Awww just reading this makes me sad I love my cat very much.Have you examined her mouth your sure she's puking the blood and it's not coming from somewhere else? Usually you can tell when an animal is sick they don't act like themselves and you should try to convince your parents to atleast call the vet and dicribe the symptoms that's what we do and then the vet will decide if he needs to come in or not best of luck to you and your kitty!
